It took ages for a flag to be shown and he obviously wasn't in a hell of a good state.
    Just a thought.
More marshals is on the agenda for next year. I understand your frustration in being told not to stop and assist but we believe that three or four bikes stopped on, or at the edge, of the track will just make the situation even more dangerous. The minute Patch went down, the marshals and myself were in touch and decided to show the red. It seemed like ages to me too. Before Patch was off the circuit, another ambulance had been called and was on its way.

Hmm, you can please some of the people some of the time... Ideally we prefer to keep the numbers in a group to under 30, hence the four groups and I've received feedback from previous track days asking for longer sessions. Having three groups last weekend would have meant an intermediate group of around 55 and we think that's too many.

Keep your suggestions coming, you're not being picky! Ourselves and Suzuki want to know what you think, there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism.

From my perspective on the sidelines, I thought this was a really well run trackday.

Was tempted to ask if I could take the R6 out, especially after having to endure such repetitive conversation with Patch (just kidding Patch)!

Might have to find me a 'Zuki for the next one!

    Thanks again, one and all.

Earth to Patch, hello Patch... How you feeling? At some point on Sunday I told you to tell your Grandad to check out the January Kiwi Rider on sale soon but I'm guessing you may have forgotten that snippet of info...

Also, Susie or Suzi (not sure), if you're reading this, thanks very much for your help and accompanying Patch to the hospital.

Damn right. Also not permitted on track days in the UK.

Strangely, at the Nurburgring they encourage you to stop to warn other 'ringers' if there's a crash on track. Hmmmmmm. A mate slammed his 750k5 in to the back of a BMW 3 series motor that had stopped to help out a fallen biker.

Gixer750@120mph / Stationery BMW on the racing line = 3 broken ribs and one wreck of a bike
What a difference indifference can make

Was just wondering about that passing up the inside rule. Was in the beginner rounds for the first three sessions and by the third I was doing much better. But I was finding it frustrating get stuck in the corners behind bigger bikes because they were right on the outside going into corners and I could outbrake them and hold more corner speed, but would get done coming out of corners. Being my first time on a track I saw some really big gaps but didn't know what to do, exactly what was allowed etc etc etc. I went into the medium group for the last round and although I didn't catch nearly the same amount of bikes I still had the same problem on one occasion...
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

We're gonna look at the overtaking rule and see what we can up with. To have one rule for all seems the easiest way to do things rather than different overtaking rules for diferent groups but I'm open to suggestions, you're the customer after all.

A couple of people held me up a tad, but managed to pass them in the end without drama. If its really pissing folk off they can do a drive through and let the slower guy get ahead, or brief all riders that if they feel that they are holding folk up then let them through on the straight. I didn't find the no passing up the inside thing an issue. I saw a guy try to outbrake Johan Bruns at a Manfeild trackday once and he promptly low silded into another guy minding his own business trying to get around a corner. Nasty stuff.
Superdukes. Serving up shame to sportsbikes since ages ago.

Big thanks to Suzuki and KiwiRider for organising the day and more importantly the weather!! I had loads of fun and really enjoyed myself and will definitely be back for more.

Also want to thank Shaun for his help setting up my bike and his tips etc. The bike performed awesome and his advice was spot on.
Life is difficult because it is non-linear.
