Also it was good to see other bikes out and they all waved out to me and I must say that felt pretty damn good,I mean com on how many times do you drive down the road in your cage and everyone in a cage waves it would be a nightmare in rush hour And did anyone else see the 6 police bikes all in a group quite a sight to see But I figure they are out patrolling for US.

What time were you out riding?

I went up that way (Old North/Peak Rd etc) around 1.45pm after refuelling at westgate....

Twas fine all the way til I was almost at Whangarparoa and the heavens opened up big time.. (Pine valley Road) Torrenchal rain....

So I guess you may well have missed that patch of rain. Which is good that you did, as you would not have liked that....

BTW saw no coppers out there at all.

When out on your own if you have trouble with a vehicle driver doing that...
Pull over and let the git pass.... not worth the hassle of them giving you a hard time. Especially as you are still learning.

Looks like the weather is gonna be shite for the next couple of days.... so it would be a good time to give your bike a wash and polish and lube the chain....
(I tend to warm the chain up first when I lube it. Once lubed leave bike to sit overnight)

All part of the maintainence that is required on a bike.

Also have you rung and got the owners manual for it from the previous owner.
And to do the other things on that list !!!!!!!

Yes he is going to find it for me he has only a photcopy version but still works for me and the car was trying to squeeze me off the end of the passlane and he had way run out of room and when i held my ground and throttled a little faster then he stayed right back after that,I knew I was doing the right thing for the moment I promise I did nothing stupid cant think of one good reason why I would I hear what you are saying and I would have pulled over if I felt the need And I am not SURE how to lube my chain

Have you brought some chain lube.......?

You know where to buy it from.... and you know to ask the previous owner whilst you are there what brand he was using as it dont seem to spray everywhere lol..... so go and get some......
Then I can pop around and show you what to do and then you can do it yourself....... Tis a 5 minute job....
In fact it will be easier when you get the bike stand from Frosty...
But it can be done with out it.

I will show you how and then you can also clean the chain down first before lubing it.

    Hi Blondini,
Have enjoyed reading your exploits in learning to ride. Thank you for an interesting read. We were all learners once. Just take your time and learn at your pace. You will grow from your comfort zone naturally. Every time you are out there you will learn more and more. There is plenty of help here as already seen and you have some willing kb people up your way to help with gaining new skills and knowledge. Good luck with your learning and ride safe.

Are you taking any prescription medication? [Rain Man]

Hi ...got out for a little ride tonight ..just went and did the wed night road.It was nice to be out on my own,I practiced swerving and revving out of the corners BUT I really want to know how to fix my exhaust which is getting louder each time especially since it was pointed out to me... What is my best plan and then plan b ?Oh yeah...In case I have not said I wish I had done this so long ago I really am enjoying learning to become one with my bike And got a text from my brother to say hey sis did 300ks today.....Nice mate I did 30 Maybe 40
