    Fireblade tyre help

    Need new set of rubbers for the fartblood, finally fooked thoose Bridgestones....

    Just wondering what peeps would recommend:

    A/ Michelin Pilot Powers ?
    B/ Metzeler M3 thingies ?
    C/ Dunlop D208 RR's ?
    D/ Continental Attack ?
    OR
    E/ Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro SC1 or SC2's ?

    Interested in all feedback on the TYRES and not that its a Honda and you think its shit...(so thats cowpoos post fooked already !!!!).
    Doesn't play well with others

    M3's. Love em. Will be staying with them until they're no longer made.
    Pilot Powers. Good tyre but I didn't like them at all. They rarely let go but when they did they let go big time.

    Never tried the conti's or the m3's; i've heard the m3's are worth a try.

    From my experience & preference, i'd have either the sc's, the 208rr's or the qualifiers


    never again...pp's cos they squirm like fuck.

    What, you expect everybody to agree on a set of tires for you? All these fools know jack shit. Most of them can't even ride.

    By the way, you're not comparing apples with apples in your list.

    M3s mate. Great on the road and track alike. Good in the wet and have good longevity. I doubt I'll ever consider another tyre.
    Superdukes. Serving up shame to sportsbikes since ages ago.

    Um no, i think i said i was interested in peeps feedback, if i wanted a decision made for me then i'd ask the magic 8 ball...

    Besides if i wanted to know about fruit i'd go to a fruit shop....bujt i dont hence y i posted on a bike forum !!! kinda thought that may be nearer the mark....

    If you do track days then you must try the 208rr's (much stickier than the Qualifiers). I guarantee you will like them. I've worn out quite a few. Currently experimenting with a 180 Pilot Power on the rear. Love the faster steering but hate the level of feel and feedback. The Dunlops let go very progressively when they finally do slide. The Powers go very suddenly. Everyones different so you just have to try them and see.

    why not just take a punt on something you haven't tried, and find out for yourself?
    That's what I've been doing, altho only managed to wear thru Bridgestones, Avon Vipers, and now onto conti-attacks.. so still a way to go yet, but i've not really been one to always follow..

    strange, cos the Dunlops i found drop/steer quicker than the PP's. So much so that once i went from 208rr's to pp's i found the bike to feel heavey when trying to lean her over.

    This, i thought, was due to the profile of the two tyres; the rr's are almost triangular in shape apposed to the pilot powers arc profile.

    Still.. nothing better than trying shit for ya self, thats why i've been through 5 different sets on the 600; i've tried enought to know i'll happily loose a couple of k's worth of rubber per set for the all round feel of the 208rr's

    No the 208's are definitely a softer compound than the Qualifiers. I've tried them both. The 208 is Dunlops most track focussed "road tyre".
    I didnt think there was a big difference in the profile of the 208 v pp but I never really compared them side by side. Main reason my steering is quicker is that I've gone from 190 rear to 180.

    There's just no point asking about tires on a bike forum. It's been tried before and it always ends in tears. You'll get completely different reviews on the same tire. Personally, I prefer Diablo Corsa's on my underpowered Blade but others say these tires are no good.

    If you want to know about fruit you should ask a horticulturist. Fruit shop workers know jack about fruit.

    Just try what ya think you like , then if no good try something different & keep doing this till you find what you like & not what someone off here thinks . Some tyres suit 600cc bikes while others suit 1000cc bikes , type of ridding you do & your own skill will tell you what works best . Have tryed every tyre out there & all have their good & bad points so go find out for yourself !!

    M3's are really good. Have tried them myself on the CB900Hornet, found the tire is too sticky for the bike if there is such things. Have a set on my CBR954 and they are great.
