    I gave in to temptation

My fetish for shiny metal objects got me again. The shop simply made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Funny how so many people are constantly looking to move up the horse power ladder and here I am moving down ...and enjoying it. CBR1000RR 150 odd hp , ZX6R 120 hp and now 85 hp. Shit might end up on a scooter if I'm not careful!
Having a blast riding this thing. Even with tyres I don't like and don't trust I can get my knee down. Wheelies at first looked unlikely but today I nailed a few ripper standups in 1st and 2nd. The speeds much slower than most would wheelie at, but again that's part of this bike's appeal- being different. Quite fun though because the balance point has the bike bloody near vertical - well it seems high anyway from the cockpit.

Well shit. That's out of left field man. Sounds like you really like it. What mods do you have planned?

It took me by surprise too. Even weirder is that I would rate the ZX6R as the best bike I've owned, I was lovin that bike, yet I traded it in?
No mods planned. I can't think of anything that needs to be changed (apart from tyres). I like the look and sound of that fat muffler on the beemer.
Never owned a BMW so I will give it a try. In the end if I fall out of love with it- move on. Unlike a woman you can dump a bike without any dramas and bitchin.

Having seen it in the flesh, your new ride looks particularly funky, Mark. Red is good!

On the back wheel, one handed, on the inside of a hairpin while snogging a French chick. Like that Chris Pfeifer geezer.

I took one for a 1.5 hour spin yesterday. Awesome bike, no doubt about it.
Going to buy a lotto ticket today.

Good to hear you liked it. I've clocked up 4000kms now and have no regrets about buying it. Just back from a long weekend Wgtn- Gissy-Opotiki-Rotovegas-wgtn. The F800 was a blast. Great comfort with true sportsbike handling. The belt drive sure keeps the rear end clean and those beemer heated grips work a treat (Desert road was chilly so gave me a chance to try them).
I'll have to get some wheelie pics taken. This is the bees knees for near vertical, totally balanced long standups. Got a heap of rippers in over the weekend. Just sitting behind vehicles watching the wide eyes staring out the back as you follow them at a constant speed, just floating the front wheel above their boot!
