    Hornet/919 bling bling

Having now traded my Hornet, not because of any unhappiness but because after two years it had done 40,000Ks and after three years and 60,000 it may not have been as saleable, some of the bling is now available to good homes:

Ohlins shock absorber part HO 201 type 46HRCS with remote reservoir and preload. (Not to be confused with the less expensive HO 322 type 46DR which has neither remote reservoir nor preload.) This item has travelled approx 17,000Ks and is fitted with the standard spring. $990.00

CRG brake and clutch levers (grey) $240 the pair

Dynojet Power Commander 111 usb with AMPS custom map to suit standard Hornet with K&N air filter. $350.00

Please PM me if there is anything here of interest to you...

Mate, you are killing me with your tempting list of goodies

The Ohlins shock on Mrs Kd's bike is bloody nice and I would love to have one.

Did the Power Commander make much of a difference?

Oh, and sorry to see a Hornet rider go. What bike did you get?

The first dyno run indicated that the bike was running lean at the top end.
As I said at the time, I didn't use that much anyway... The custom map should have dealt to that. The main benefit was that it smoothed things out and removed that "sudden death" on/off throttle effect at low speed.

Ummm the avotar should give a hint as to the current transport :-) Having only had the bike since last Friday I've yet to take a suitable profile pic...

Hey Pritch,I hope you realise you can modify the existing ohlins to suit the new bike & should be alot cheaper than buying a new one

I did that, he told me the Hornet item could be reworked to fit a VTR but not a VFR. (At that stage I hadn't finally decided what was replacing the Hornet.)He also said he'd take my shock as a trade on a VFR shock. We didn't discuss a price or any other detail but if nobody here wants it I'll be ringing him again next week.
