TT run to Vincent Rally Site

I thought KB'rs intending to go to the Vincent Rally in a couple of weeks might be interested in this photo taken yesterday. I went up on the BRONZ Otago TT run to the site which is apparently an annual practise run and review of the site for the organisers.
As you will see in the pic the site is currently very green and the ground a great deal softer than it often is there at this time of year - this of course could change fairly quickly over the next couple of weeks if they get some traditional Central Otago heat and no more rain.
There was about 35 gathered there last night doing the usual drinking and yarn telling etc. Only 2 KB'rs being myself and Woodybee (who actually travelled up in a car with a mate due to a self induced finishing work hangover, and it being a bit wet in Dunedin when they left - by the time they got to the Manuka Gorge it was dry all the way there and they reckon they wished they'd bought their bikes - anyway that kind of softcock behaviour requires comment from all who see her at the Vincent OK!!).
They did run a practise of the slow race - and much to the chagrin of 2 trail bike riders who expected to win it, the winner was a certain KB'r riding a Transalp!!!! (actually the guy on the two stroke motorcrosser and I were neck and neck but he'd forgotten he'd turned off his fuel and his bike concked out and he put his foot down!!).
Unfortunately I won't be going to the Vincent but hope to make it to the March Hare and catch up on some old and new KB faces there.
