Must be much better attaching to yourself wouldn't it? ...reduce heaps of vibration.

I look around at the scenery and who's passing me too much. Kinda ruins the effect. Apart from that I get double vision sometimes due to the vibration.
Maybe I could rubber mount myself?
Trying to resist the temptation to get a piccy from images.google.com to suit your last comment![]()

Just tried the camera out on my 1100 mounted on the side of my helmet, stays running fine, takes a good picture, can't hear the bikes engine or gear changes in this postion, mic picks up wind noise, and like anything on your helmet ie straps and shirt collar flapping in the breeze. But you don't realise that actually your head moves around quite a lot ie wind buffetting, bumps and general scanning of the corners you don't get a good view of the
effects, and its also hard to gauge where to aim it when its mounted on the helmet
The track yesterday was quite bumpy ( using the small circut ) Iam racing a zxr 400 and had it mounted on the brackets that hold the front top fairing and screen, so i guess this was'nt the best place ,I also had it mounted on the tail piece facing rearwards. The tank on the zxr is lower than the tripple tree so i will have to pack the camera up somehow.
I have come to the conclusion that it must be firmly mounted and no big bumps.
Wonder how ( Idubbs) is going with his mounting arm from RAMSOLUTIONS.
I picked one of these up from Noel Leemings yesterday for 169.99. score.but I haven't got an SD card yet cos I'm too tight to pay retail prices and I can get a 2gig for 40 bucks tomorrow.
I'm just about to put my first video up on that tube site if I can figure it out but it's only at the lowest res.
I have mounted the camera to the mirror stem on my gixxer and it seems to be ok, still get a bit of that wavy flag shit but for under 200 notes it's not too bad given it's a piece of piss to use and comes with all the mounting hardware you need.
I haven't had a chance to take it out today cos I've barley left the shitter since 1 am. God bless wireless.
here's a couple of pics of the mount.
I'm pretty happy with my setup - the vidcam's held pretty firm and I like to think the rubber isolation plays it's part. Footage I got is reasonable though I reckon it may be helpful to use a high speed SD card instead of the cheap and nasty one that I recently bought...might just get rid of some of the wavey lines. Must agree with Dover - not bad kit considering the price and ease of use. Hey, by the way .....another of our members here has used a Ram Solutions mount to fix his vidcam onto his tank using a suction cup attachment. Apparently gives the advantage of elevation over looking the instruments as well as the road.! Holds on well too....
Hey Dover, is that vid quality about the same when you just run it on your PC (ie youTube hasn't degraded the quality)?
