Going to the show tomorrow and thinking about taking the bike 'stead of the van, but not sure about parking and gear. Don't normally take the bike to shows, so where do I put all the riding gear while there? Be a bit heavy carting the gear around all day and the top-box won't fit it in.

What does everyone do? Have seen lots of bikes at shows, but the bikers I see don't seem to be carrying much apparel around with them.

    Suggestions?

I was riding home today and thought I saw the Jim Beam ramp outside, I thought it was going to be just a little demo, but it seems like it should be a good show inside and out!

    Can't wait!

We went out to the show this morning and spent ages looking at all the bikes. The live bike shows where great and it was nice to see Aaron Slight there signing posters. Got one for us and one for the grandkids.
The fastest Indian was the highlight for me though. I couldnt believe how small it is. That man was a legend alright.

Yeah. Unless there's something else more interesting? I can bring my own tools.

Did Burt use tools? I thought he built the bike with a flat bastard and a King Dick? Do it,I'd love to hold a conrod in my hands that was carved with a hacksaw and file out of a truck axle.

Thaz OK. I've GOT a flat bastard (several in fact) and a King Dick. (and none of these bastards have any idea wot we're talking about). Thats the difference between Burt and me. I wouldn't have the patience to shape it with a hacksaw, I'd use a gas axe. Old half shafts out of Morris 8s make good crankpins, too.Tried it. (OBVIOUSLY, cut down somehat!)

Well Ixion on you cant take it apart unfortunatly. Just come along and see this thing it realy is amazing that it could go so fast

And sash weights make good valve guides too.I made the mufflers for my XLV750 from a Transit driveshaft.I'm not so amaised that Burt made the old bike go so fast - but that he did it with so little....so little tools and equipment, materials,so little knowledge and skills, just shear hard work and a goal.
