    I'm going for a ride...

    Papakura --> Hunua --> Bombay --> Pukekohe

    Huzzah!

    Leaving soonish, probably an hour or so - if I remember to check back, there could be an impromptu ride, if not then I'll see ya on the road.

    Chis, Zeo, Lucy - txt if you have time to kill.

    YAY! Riding twice in a fortnight! (Don't ask, it's an internal politics thing...)

    **BUGGER**

    Got some household tasks to complete, looks like the ride will be this afternoon, when chores are completed, and SWMBO is appeased.

    Jeezus man... that's worthy of a South Island tour!

    I have to head to my favourite place (Mitre10) and purchase materials to fix the dirty great big holes I put in my eaves yesterday... then I need to figure out how the hell to FIX said holes.

    Then and ONLY then can I ride.

    Hardest part will be bugging the chippy to make a house call today.

    Arse.

    Ya know, that fibrous stuff... a hammer accidentally fell through it at a high speed, due to there being cables the sparky needed access to.

    ...and I was ARSED if any bugger was lifting tiles on my bloody roof!

    Did suggest to the wife that Duct tape and a sheet of ply would suffice... she said that me sleeping on the back yard was a possible outcome.

    I'm still trying to weigh the pros and cons in her response.

    It's the lining fitted to the underside of the eaves, usually 4.5mm fibre cement sheet, anothe James Hardie "quality" product.

    That's the bugger.

    Makes a brilliant sound when large chunks of it hit the ground from height...
