    Drat!

Went to the local dealer to kill some time today. Sat on a VTR and my feet barely and just barely touched the ground. I'm 5'8" but have short legs. It didn't actually feel very comfortable, which stinks because I have been dreaming of a VTR

Anyone selling a VTR with platform shoes?

I would have thought your height was perfect for the VTR. McJim and I are both just over 6 foot and the VTR is too small for us.

I guess hte most important thing is to be comfortable.

Sales guy said the same thing, I must have really little legs.... Oh well I'll check a couple other bikes, then back on the VTR again tomorrow. Maybe I can stretch my legs somehow..

Wasn't there a medievil torture device that did that?

I'm only 5ft 6 and was fine on mine.... are you/they sure nobody's wound up the preload on that bike? Was it new?

I'm sure if you offer McJim a good price for his bike, he will be more than happy to do any neccessary surgery as a free extra

    We are confused.

My missus is 5'7" and can touch the ground easily with her legs bent on the VTR. (the reason she rides a RG150 is because she likes the racing position. the full fairing and the extre 5 hp!)

She suggested you come round and sit on mine to see what you think (although mine is really mucky and not in a good condition to be seen by a potential customer at the moment!) the suspension has at least been worn in a bit so might seem lower.

Otherwise there are other bikes worth trying - GPX250 for example.

    I'm confused too,

By all accounts its the perfect bike. Also should be right on for my size.....

Feet couldnt even touch the ground though. Ill try a different bike, somewhere else. Just can't think why........

I'm going with it being some sort of weird phenomenon. Won't sway me on my quest for a VTR

And best off, of all the bikes my wife and I have looked at she really wants a GN250. Who am I to argue that! I get a VTR and she is happy with the GN
