If it`s anything like when it took off , yeah it`s kinda windy and kinda noisy too , like following a Harley with screaming eagles only the chopper took off into the distance.

What an amazing day The sight and sound of that many bikes will lull me to sleep tonight I think. The sound under the Wellesley St overpass - wow.
Meet a few new KBers today and I'm not even going to try to list everyones names - but nice to meet you all. Thanks to Niksta for showing the way out there.

I hope its on next year as I will be there with bells on

Saw cameras for One News at Akoranga, buggers didn't show anything, and the Mrs taped bloody Disney channel instead of TV3!!

Anybody record the story on 3 that might be able to YouTube it?

Yep that was cool, what got me was the cops set the pace!..........we were near the front of the pack and still had to hurry to stay in the hunt.....but what about the in city speeds.........now that really was amazing.......LOL

    Auckland Rescure Helicopter Ride

I am glad you all enjoyed the ride, It WILL happen next year write it in your calender now. I can't promise that there will be nearly 1500 bikes next year unless you spread the word. Next year HOG will have their national rally not in Auckland. It was great to see and HEAR the Harleys, they are not my cup of tea but it was a good turn out because they were there!!!! You make this ride what it is, MORE BIKES MORE RIDE!! Also it has been suggested that the Auckland Rescure Helicopter Ride be called by it's correct name because West Pac is a bank (and sponcor) but people think that we are supporting a bank and don't realise that what we are supporting is a NON government supported venture!!! Yes the number was nearly 1500 bikes. Regard Richard

Thanks Richard, to you and Bob, and everyone that organised this ride. Yes, it needs to be promoted differently but the bikers hearts are still there. Good luck for next year. I will be there to help sell more badges and Rhino will be there to marshall!!!
Small and dangerous with a sting in my tail!!
