Arrow Buckets in Hawke's Bay info.

    hi

i have been thinking of getting into buckets as a cheap way of getting into racing. do any of you guys race at the roys hill go kart track or is it only at waipawa?

what other classes are raced on the same day?

do you need two peice zip up leathers, one peice or can i do it the cheap way and ducktape my leather pants and jacket together?

havent actually got a road bike yet (havent got the gear that comes with the bike either) so i would like to use my dads old leathers, boots and gloves.

are there any meets left so i can come down and meet the crowd and get advice, or do i have to wait till next season to get started?

    thanks

    *andrew*

Buckets are only at Waipawa - there is no bucket racing at Roys hill. Meetings are the second Sunday of the month ie today. Pm Team Cudby - he frequents the buckets.
I'm not sure wether there gear requirements have changed, but you should be okay with what you have, although I would recommend a back protector.

thanks for the info. couldnt get out this weekend, will try next time.

do you think theres any chance of buckets racing at roys hill, i hear theres pitbike racing.

one more thing generally how many people turn up to the buckets in waipawa.

    thanks

Roy's Hill track & Buckets....would be great, but not in (y)our lifetime.
As far as nos. go at Waipawa - it varies...sometimes as many as 15 ??
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

yes will have to come and have a look at waipawa then.
i supose some of the local bucketers have asked to race but have been turned away from roys hill (supose the gokart club are tight arses)?

Sounds like a "road trip" would be in order. Mum live's in Dannevirke - "how convenient". Just need to organise day off with new boss where I haven't even started yet. Must talk to F5 and Skunk as well.
