Way uncool. FJR's don't accelerate particularly well from a dead stop in third gear, so I discovered.

Sorry I missed it tonight. I had other things planned early on so ended up just going for a blast by myself about 8.30. Maybe next week!
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

Actually, you were pretty quick up the hill, Mel. I was behind you. You have great confidence on the corners, and pretty good lines too. Well done. I felt for you though when you overtook that car...I could see what you meant the other day when you said the Ginny was gutless. Did you change down a cog when you went to overtake?

Also, someone decided to shoot past the group leaders on the lead up to the hill and got short shrift and a very close call from an oncoming vehicle.
I wasn't too impressed. Dunno who it was though. Might not even have been in the group.

They were "waving" at me as I came up behind them on the hill - I waved them goodbye as I went past.

Another classic ride to the Tin Hut - twenty odd bikes including the 2 'Rapa crew who came over to the duckpond - well done Lissa and Kinje.

For a bit of variety hvs06boy and I went home via the Akatarawa road - that was an exercise in concentration in the dark! Dodging possums and clouds of bugs.....but all good fun

Just wanted to report my findings, wouldn't like to hear of someone skidding on some stones on a corner and coming off when I could've warned them about it.
