O and for the pain Johnny, Cloves, those twiggy flowery looking things. You can get them from the herb section in your supermarket. I shit you not when I tell you that they make for a great local anesthetic for a sore tooth. Just bite down on it, it tastes like shit, but does the job. I think you can get clove oil too. It really is very good and very instant releif

NEVER LET THE TRUTH GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD STORY!
I can relate to that. I had an impacted lower wisdom tooth (basically, it had hit the bone at the rightangle at the back of my jaw and had turned 45 degrees to grow backwards deeper into the jaw). The top partner tooth was a doddle, but the lower one took nigh-on 2.5 hours. Finally access was gained by chiselling away a large area of bone around the tooth.
I was glad it was a groundfloor surgery cos I'd ridden my bike there, but no way was I in any state to ride home (bike was parked up in the foyer overnight).
It was about 1989 and I think cost $200
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Six whiskeys, six injections and gas!![]()
I had my tooth pulled out last week, as long as you have a decent dentist it shouldnt hurt a bit, just lots of pulling what actually gets really tiring after a while... why dont you just get a rather large filling? or are u going to get a fake tooth?
the noise is the worst part of getting your teeth pulled. there is a lot of grinding and snapping going on but you cant really feel pain just a lot of pulling
one of mine didnt come out so i had to book in with another dentist where i could get put to sleep while they cut it out. was in complete agony the next few days and went back - it was because she had disturbed the root while trying to pull it out - it was the worst pain i have ever had. but once it was cut out when i was out to it was sweet - never even realised they had done it when i woke up
So, why is the Dentist stupid?
Did I miss something?
Speed doesn't kill people.
Stupidity kills people.
yeah he did.....it was just a few months ago i was in there having a check up and he told me my wisdom teeth were fine and not to worry about having them out now one has started to crumble away and he recons i need to have them out.....thought the xrays would have told him that a few months ago.
further north than the northland crew
It is easy! You just lie back in the chair, relax and let the dentist do his job. No anaesthetic necessary, local or general...well, thats how I had mine out anyway.
Take Arnica tablets or drops for the next few days to help with the bruising/swelling. You'll be sweet.
Diarrhoea is hereditary - it runs in your jeans
If my nose was running money, I'd blow it all on you...
Go see a oral surgeon. I seriously regret having all four of my wisdom teeth extracted, because I would love to do it again.
You see, the oral surgeon I saw uses a valium injection to put you to sleep. I woke up afterwards, floated at to the car (nurse and mate were helping me), then home to sit in front of the telly dribbling like a loon.
Obviously oral surgeons cost more, but if you have insurance or don't mind spending a few extra coin then they are the way to go......
I had all 4 removed at the same time (all were impacted too and req gum to be cut and stitched back together once they were out.)
I had a GA and was knocked out for the whole thing. When I came to I was being offered Jelly by some nurses![]()
lol...
I think the price was around $2,500. (Medical Insurance/Health Insurance people paid for it tho)....
Do you have southern cross or anything like that??
IF so... go for a GA, get put to sleep... have them all taken out...
You'll be a lil sore for a couple of days, just take whatever drugs they give you n you'll be right
