    Get wet... seriously.

I wait till I'm wet - gets rid of that awful "I'm getting wet" feeling... then what's the worst that can happen?

Mind you - when you dismount (the bike... out of the gutter matey)... you get the "pissed me pants" feeling

do ya go left or right around the porthills or do ya grow bored on the plains?

    wow! that's 3! directions........

we used to do engine off 'races' from the pub on the hill to little river, some of the fat ones almost made it

passing cars with the engine off is truly a challenge

Yeah they were unbelievable! There was random road works when I went through and I had the same prob with trucks. Being I had come off the day before I was def clicking down gears on the gravel roadworks and the trucks were right up my ass. If I had lost it they were so close they woulda gone straight over me unable to stop. I swear they also speed up as your passing them! The one I had to do 150 just to pass was 18 wheeler and was going up a steep incline! They just haul ass up there. Trucks go faster than the cars..................

yeah but these are professional drivers doing good for our business community and the trucks are limited to 90kph anyway and can we please have bigger ones..

Farkin' maniacs a lot of them. 90kph my arse... I commute in a Starlet which is quite happy and 110kph but it's bloody scary getting overtaken by those things and having an 0800 hows my driving if you can't see my mirrors I don't have to care about you sticker... lately it seems more loons than regular truckies too...

At least many will pull to the side. But that causes a prob cause sometimes they are going so fast Im quite happy to sit behind them. If theres no debrie flying off em. But then they ride the shoulder to let you pass......... so you take it then have to put some distance between you and them. One of the guys who rode with us was a trucky. He said ride the white line in their right mirror and they will move over for you....most did. Even he couldnt believe they drive so fast....

Welcome to KB! You have possibly the longest welcome thread on KB, at least for a while.

Hope the leg and bike are much better by now!

I usually look at the corner signs, above 30 and add 20 or so....so a 75 corner ill take at 100 without slowing before if permitting. Sweepers I can see through Ill throttle hard out of but if I cant see round (hills etc) Ill slow down till I can see where im heading. I sux downhill cornering but havent been passed by a cager yet. On desert road I had her to 160 but it was dead straight and actually nearly pooped my pants when I looked down. Trouble with my new triumph is you pick up 20 30 ks without even noticing. Dad says you lose your lic here real quick for speeding and fast on straights is Boring anyways. Anyone can do that. So id prob alone def keep it 20 or so to speed limit. So am I a Nana?
    Sound like one to me
But that is how ya have a chance of keeping ya licence around here.
