    There's more than one sort?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

yes but what sort do you have that does 100MPH+
I would love to see it, as well as a dyno run to see what power you have at the rear wheel.

Last time it was dynod it had 27hp at the wheel. Its had a rebuild and the ports tidied up since then.
Just needs the frame finishing, and it'll be ready to go. Spare engine and frame need selling to fund that though.

It wont be going on the road. Too noisy and no kick start.
Its not that seriously ported. Just put together nicely.

Stage 5 Ralph Saxelby 185. I know nothing about whats in it. I bought it complete, to use the top end as a spare for my road bike. But.. I've got a couple of spare oversize pistons for that now, so wont need it. And.. three Lambrettas is one too many.
I'm assured its got a Li box in it, and that its had all new bearings (etc). Other than that, no idea.. I've never ran it.

185cc.............. that would be why it's perfectly capable of 100km/h+
I thought we were talking <50cc in this thread.....

The first post says 49cc and 105km/h

My cruiser has same size engine as my scooter except the cruiser has a pod filter and jets tuned to suit as well as dual expansion chamber tail pipes..
the scooter has a stock exhaust (muffler / peashooter,) stock jets, cold air box with aftermarket air filter element

In comparison even with the stock restrictive parts removed/replaced on a 50cc it will haul ass compared to other 50ccs but 100km+ is still just barely out of reach without forced induction.. possibly a larger carburettor would get it up there but that would still be right at the end of the powerband in final drive

A 50cc cruiser? Where are you going to cruise to with that? Pak n save?

The restriction is the sewing machine engine, not all the parts in it.

Boy, do you have a lot to learn about the way KB works....you mentioned the capability of scoots to go quick on 10" wheels, it's called a tangent and we're off on it.

BTW my Imola motor (186cc, reed valves, 28mm mikuni) gives me 70mph and I don't run a chamber - yet. 13.5hp at the wheel.

Only you would do that. You'd probably buy a couple bags of groceries before realising that there's no storage. :slap:
