Is there anyone with some local knowledge that could help?? - needs to be a sealed road route 'cos some don't do gravel.
Ideally a picnic ground with a bit of shade although a country pub with a nice outdoors setting would also work pretty well?? (what do you think?)
A non pub location could be a picnic ground just below the Waitaki dam?

Sounds like it should be an afternoon thing - if anyone who's gone up on Friday feels like a morning ride then hopefully you can still link up for the afternoon. I reckon we probably want to get away reasonably early in the afternoon as I presume there'll be plenty of things happening at the rally from later in the afternoon?

So how about we plan on leaving the site at 1:30pm??

Would be great to have a location sorted before Friday so we all know where to end up - so if you have any ideas........

There are a few day trippers from ChCH ie Lemans and Co, that may want to tag on as well... (as far as I know he may not go to the actual site) and I said we could or might do a regroup in Waimate before the pick a nick

Yeah I got the gist of that - hence the afternoon suggestion. It will make it easier for them and probably everyone if we can pick a location before Friday
