Apparently the Hillclimb will proceed wet or dry.

I'm hoping for dry....although someone I know has put a slick on the front of their bike......GOOD LUCK BRO !!!

So now I discover the fine print that you must be entered by 11 March!
Well it's a fine day for a ride tomorrow so I will turn up and see if they allow on the day entries.
ps- If you don't want to be upset then don't look through the September posts on this thread. The posts by Loosebruce and uncleB will leave a lump in your throat. I just stumbled on them.

'Course, I'll be a homo in high-vis instead of a hero on a Honda.

Alliteration works best when it's concievable bro, when were you last the afore mentioned hero?

Edit, took out the bit where it said you dont have a honda, cos I just realized you do.

When I saved the babies from the burning house on my Honda...?!?!?

Or that it is conceivable that I am a homo in high-vis?

    That was fun

Thanks to the marshalls and co for putting on playtime for us. My first go at the hillclimb and it was bloody good fun.
    Had all the incredients;
Fine weather - yes is was the whole time I was there. We could see it was pissing down everywhere else in the rapa except where we were.
Good stretch of road to test our courage
The best part would be the bloody good company to share the buzz with.
And buzzing we all were fighting our own battles against the stopwatch.
Doing this sort of stuff really builds a sense of friendship amongst the riders giving it a go.
The trip home was... different. Full force gales over the taka hill in the rain then some of us had to break up a punchup between two car drivers who crashed into each other. One car spun sideways into an opposing car. Poor bugger was getting a bashing from a much bigger guy. Well done Deano, Fizzerman, Flame, Limbimtimwim and the rest who stopped. Never a dull moment on the hill. A couple of seconds difference and that car could have taken out half a dozen riders instead.
Funny how the only time we wanted the Cops on the Hill they took ages to get there and then half the Hutt force all arrive in a convoy.
Doubt that I will do Sunday now that my leathers are soaked.

Well, I've been wrestling with posting this or leaving it, but since I've been talking myself up for ages, here it is.

I was a couple seconds off the fast boys all morning, but consistantly third, then Jay Lawrence showed up with his GSXR1100, (thank fuck he didn't have his ZX6) and was only a second behind me. After that, Poos gave him a go on the 810, and he went two seconds quicker than me.

That was it, like a red flag to a bull, I turned it up, and managed the same time as him.

So after the practice day, I'm fastest equal with him, with Warren Turner very close behind us.

To sum up, I'm still aiming for the five hundy

    then,
    A. Craig
    Deano
    Flame.

Bloody awesome riding Drew. Nuff said.

Flame showed em all that girls can do anything -bloody awesome mate.

After crappy weather all morning it finally cleared, the sun came out and the road was dry within 40 minutes. The times kept coming down for everyone who got 6 or 7 runs at the hill.

Fizzerman and Warren Turner had been dicing for the best time all weekend really but determined Drew dug deep and did the bizzo, (like that alliteration?)
