shit, well not really - we knew it was going to

all nzherald has is that a warning was triggered so the roads were closed

good excuse for speeding through the desert road though - "I was running from the lahar officer!"

seriously though - if those alarms went off when i was going through i'd just wring the throttle open on if i was on the 250

Lets hope this one doesn't have any nasty accidents for anyone. Cheers for the link too.

What a shame there weren't any politicians in the way!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Put Sue Bradford in front of it, and get her to preach to the Lahar, about how dangerous they are to children.

Could do, but think I like the idea of being on SH1 with my throttle hand feeling mighty twitchy all the way past Ruapehu.

I doubt they could afford to. Both Rangipo and Tokaanu power stations have shut down.

Apparently they opposed the releasing of the lake in a controlled manner. Something to do with interferring with the mountains 'spirit,' etc. We are one and same on this one Oldrider. 100%.
