Looks like I'm going to have to give this a miss, parents coming down from Blenheim for the weekend, start a new job on the Monday. Probably not going to happen, bugger.

That is a bugger, but if you went anyway with all that going on then the bike has become an obsession rather than just a passion - its a lot easier to rationalize in arguments about a passion, so keep the brownie points for another day. Its a shame 'cos I was looking forward to that ride we talked about.

Personally I don't know whether I'll get there or not with school holidays etc etc. I'm still hoping to scoot up for the Sat night but I won't be registering until on the day - I've worked up in that area, its an extreme climate and I know what the wind in particular can be like and I'm not riding up there if its blowing its nuts out.

Maybe we should call you Mr Sensible...you're right though. Probably also means the Beaumont rally is out too, maybe... Could still do the ride one day, maybe meet halfway? - I'll PM you tonight after work (I should be working now but I've already handed my notice in so who cares).

It's a struggle at the best of times but having him there just gives us that edge.
