    WTB: Round headlight

Hi guys, am collecting bits for my CB250RS project. Being a café theme, I have to ditch the rectangular headlight as soon as possible before I burst into tears at the sheer ugliness of it.

So I'm looking for a round headlight. Big range there. 12V of course. 7" is a good size; I would like something with a fairly deep nacelle so I can stuff all the electrics in there like with the current headlight. Little holes on each side to stick bolts in is a must; no funny bottom-mount things here.

Last of all, it needs to be cheap -- I'm waiting tables part time.

    Cheers guys.

If gijoe1313 converts his 2 stroke Yamaha to a track bike there will be a spare light going a begging.

Cheers everybody. Yeah, I'm liking the CB250N/CB400N idea, as it's a contemporary of my bike in a similar range, so I can probably even use the same plug, and by the looks there's room for all the cables to stuff inside.

I've had the Bandit mentioned to me; looks like a beautiful headlight, but being a fairly new bike I doubt it'll come cheap.

RZs/RDs -- now I did not think of that! That's an avenue to look down; although I suspect finding ones that haven't been in a crash might be a problem with that particular bike

I have an 8" Ducati monster headlight that I'm replacing in the very near future for a set of twin headlights. Interested?

Cor, wouldn't mind that -- looks a nice piece of work, according to Google Image Search. Of course, depends on how much you want for it, innit?

If I'm replacing it with the twin headlights then it can be yours for a very low low price (under a hundred). but before you get all misty-eyed, the main reason I'll probably replace it is the reflector is starting to go and doesn't do a really decent job. If your in Auckland you're welcome to pop round and see for yourself

Hmm. I do perhaps 75% of my riding at night, so if the reflector is heading towards toast then that is perhaps not so good.

    Also, 8" is yooj.

See what else pops up in the mean time.

... and an added bonus would be iffen you picked a headlight that had the indicators mounted on the sides, so they're outta the way of your new clipons.
    Are your clipons nippon?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Hey YLWDUC, was that you I saw riding past on Remuera Rd this afternoon, on a red Ducati Monster with twin headlights? If it wasn't, then it looked bloody good -- it'll look pretty sweet if you do it.
