Ill be bringing two people with me hopefully - tam my boss on a black gpx250, and alan on my old bandit.

I dont expect either to actually turn up, but will see.

If we do have a large group, and there is an 'advanced' contingent that i have no problems in leading a ride down riverhead or something.

Im sure we will have enough mentors to accomodate all eventualities... thanks for the offer though. Do you not need to practice then????

(this one time at band camp.... ...sorry couldnt resist that one)
Cheers man, I'll have to see what I can organise. Mate of mine (who also plays in the same band) lives up on state highway 16 and is wanting to get a bike, so might be able to free Wednesdays up if we're both wantin to go riding! If not I'll practice at my own place then maybe go to the Thursday one. The Volty might have trouble keeping up with the more experienced riders though...

    Next meet: This wednesday 21st

Back to normal this week - Meet at shell as usual then directed to a practice area nearby. This will be on rain or shine, as it's good practice to learn how to ride in the wet. However, if the rain is horizontal it will be cancelled.

See you all there on wednesday folks!

    Disco Dan

PS - Again, just a reminder to please sign up on the calender so I have an idea of numbers. Thanks.
You sir should be a politician it will be on rain or shine, err unless it's raining proper, lol
Do you think you need less practice to stop in horizontal rain?

well we all saw the proof last wednesday when the 'real' riders rode in the rain and all the wussies drove.

To be fair it was a theory night and there is something to be said for having the intelligence (and the means) to take car when there will be no benefit and increased discomfort by taking the bike.

I would be disappointed at that turnout for an actual road session.

yes.. if i did not have access to a car that day then I would have taken the bike... simply because it's my only form of transport!

Just to be clear, you are a native speaker of English?
    You can read?

My post mitigated or at least excused your cage transgression.

I suspect that all of the above are facts, or can be assumed so, you sir have a guilty conscience. You have been cheating on your bike and feel guilty!

Dont cheat on your bike.....hehehe she might throw you off.

And the weather conditions? Tis all good practise. I hate the thought of soggy gloves and a lot of wet gear, but hey it comes with the riding.

No one can control the weather, so why be scared of it when it rains? Just means everything slows down a bit and more precautions are taken.

I must be crazy or dont have a fully functional brain cell, but I'd do it again in horizontal rain....bring on winter and the thunder storms....
