Talk about a shock! Congrats to you both on a healthy little girl.

My niece has just had a daughter and they called her River. My sister hates the name but I think it's quite cool. We also have a Kaylee in the family. I like Laura too, and used to like Sarah until I met a few I didn't like! You could buy a baby name book and narrow down the ones you like until you find one you both agree on. I'm not sure about Charlie though - I tend to think of that as a boy's name - and who'd want to be called after Prince Charles? Unless she's got big ears of course!

Reminds me of that running gag in Seinfeld about an ex-girlfriend whose name rhymed with some part of the female anatomy.

must be a bit like winning lotto when you didn't even know you'd bought a ticket ...

since it was so unexpected, mebbe Naysa ['miracle'] or Zevida ['gift'] might be appropriate?

I'd say it's completely the opposite.

Lotto = lots of cash and bikes and women and stuff.

Baby = None of the above, but plenty of shitty nappies and waking up every 30minutes during the night and never having a social life again.

Look, you ........ i was trying to put a positive spin on things for them -- i mean, they can scarcely send it BACK now, can they??

......... anyway - there ARE plenty of positives - otherwise people would be saying "oh, what rotton luck" [no pun intended] not "congratulations" wouldn't they?

Wow thats amazing. Congrats to both of you. What a perfect pregancy she must have had.. to not even know. You both must be pretty excited, I hope you have all your baby gear ready by the time they get out of hospital. I hope they still give away the free nappies. The only thing I can recommend is dont waste money on buying a bassineet, they arent in it long enough... just get a good cot.

Names well I like Madison and Breanna.... my daughters names

But I also like Caitlin - meaning pure, and Amber.

WOW! now there is one for the books.
CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH or should that be all?
What a tremendous surprise, I guess you will be pretty busy in the next few days then mate.
Let us all know if there are things you need for the baby, I'm sure that many of us have things that could be very handy for helping you catch up and getting you guys equipped for the next couple of months. By then you should be over the shock, lol.
So we will see you at the pub then?
