Good stuff.
Country living is the best thing.
Always good roads to blast around too.

Some great roads around there Brother, congratulations and enjoy. BTW Dirt bike and shotgun on the agenda perchance?
Well done....But, man that's one big mortgage!
It sounds great, congratulations! Sounds similar to our story in a way - we bought a house together four years ago and it was a huge step. We got three acres in the country and we love it. Sure, it can be a lot of work at times, but the peace and quiet certainly make up for it. No way could I live in a big city - and we're only about 10 minutes from town and a little over an hour from Wellington or half an hour from Palmerston North so it's not too remote.
Next step will be the engagement ring - that came a year after we bought the house and the wedding a year after that! Four years down the track, would I change a thing? No way! You'll love it!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
Someone say Rabbits???
You may need Mr Defender back soon then?
Congrats dude!
$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details
There is a house just down the road from me that meets that description. Welcome to Franklin.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Ditto what Terbang said.
Welcome to the neighbourhood Mr Merde.
We have two acres and a 1925's Villa style house thingy with Garage, Sheds and a Barn, wide open space and views, Love it and wouldn't change it for the world!!!
Plenty of room for the bikes (4) and a cow and a pony and a pool.
Good luck securing the property, it will be an investment that will appreciate!

Wow, sounds like you're writing another chapter in your life! Thanks for looking at a property so I can learn how to dirtbike and shoot on the move at the same time!
On ya!

Hah, sounding kinda familiar here. Met my man early 2003, and did the the long distance thing for over a year. In 2004 I moved from Wellington to Auckland. We purchased our house together in 2005, Engaged in 2006, (add in two cats and ....two motorbikes somewhere between 2004 and 2007 ), and all going to plan, wedding is next year (08)....phew!
Now just to talk him into a couple more furry kids...![]()
Just an update.
We went out to see the property tonight, wanted to check it out at night and the wet weather was a bonus.
Timed the trip. 30 min from Settlement Road in Papakura.
Still liked the place. Very much and there were no signs of water on the ceilings.
Went back to the real estate office, filled in the papers, made our offer. Just got home and the estate agent was on the phone. Our offer was accepted.
Goes unconditional on the 17th April.
Looks like 5th of May as a moving day.
It is going to take a lilttle while to get used to the quiet, the darkness and the lack of neighbours.
Am I ever excited.
