Gidday Edbear, Yep, I was close to buying the C50T also, (started out looking at the M50) but as we are mostly 2up and being a typically lazy beggar I thought a few extra horses wouldnt go amiss, hence the C90T, and I must say it does mean fewer kick downs :-) Only shortcomming is tank only 14L (Im getting between 230-280kms per tank) which aint bad economy wise but one has to watch the gaugeHehehe, yep, I did same thing while running in the tyres, tried to lean a bit far and left a few sparks behind, gotta watch it on those cambered corners :-) but hey, if we wanted sports we would have bought one eh WOT !
Yeah I still wonder about the C90T, but having the C50T I think I made the right choice for our needs. The wife loves it too, and that's the reason I bought a cruiser, so we could go riding together! The C90T does have more torque, though as I said, I doubt there'd be much difference on performance. We had no trouble overtaking when we did the Cancer Toy Run the other weekend, and once in top gear, that's where it tends to stay unless we get down real slow. Just wind on the throttle and go!
Was concerned at the small underseat tank of the C90, though fuel injection means the others get good mileage from them and range doesn't seem to be a problem. The C50 has only a 15.5lt tank despite being in the conventional place, compared to my GSX-F's 20lts, but I get an easy 50mpg on the Boulevard compared to a gentle best of about 45mpg on the GSX-F. Again, I find range is no issue with the C50T.
Two-up and 150km/h was easy on the C50T though reports suggest a top of about 160km/h. Maybe one day I'll find out, but as you say, if we wanted a sports bike we'd have got one! Check my thread, "Where does this go?"
As Mack said, maybe we'll meet on the road.

We have been waiting for you to show up...
Welcome to KB, and also welcome back on 2 wheels. Watch yourself out there... the roads are much more congested now, with even worse drivers!

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
And another merry welcome to a fellow two wheels of freedom rider! Looks like you've been hauled in and gone through the ol'KB two step
Have fun reading through the threads and better yet, getting out there and doing some riding!![]()

Another cruiser! Welcome to kb.
Lots of great stuff here. Something for everyone. Enjoy.
Any pics of the bike?
Are you taking any prescription medication? [Rain Man]
Hey chap - wlecome along.
Lots of fun online, and lots of fun in the flesh too. Thu night rides are a starting point. Meet the people etc.
We form up at Shell westgate Thu nights, 6:30 roll up for a 7:00 departure. Up and around - ending up at the pub in Albany. What you ride is secondary to the requirement you make it safely to the end.
The weather's not going to be too inviting this week (if that heavy rain warning is anything to go by) but... it's a weekly thing. 35+ bikes each week and good fun.
Don't underestimate the strength of community in here either. There are a lot of plenty good people in here.
$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details
