Does this mean we're not meeting at the pub anymore?
Well after reading Skelstar's poem im wondering if you'll end up in someones back yard in a drumming circle smoking weed.......
Fatjim
29th September 2006, 10:43
Now just remember the TNTNR is not the TWNCR.
It's fine for anybody to show up and the more the merrier. Just be aware that you have to keep out of Mikey's (and the following constabulary's) way.
Wasp

ahhhh i remember my first trtnr (and kb) ride..... still remember that sheep too......
tcwnr isn't aggressive enough for me, i'll be there somewhere between mikey and his loyal followers dressed in blue

Might do the BSTNR (Bloody Slow Tuesday Night Ride), maybe I can get Dover to join in when he's darn sarf.I will. On my pushbike. Pushbike because it is a Suzuki and has broken down.
skelstar
29th September 2006, 15:26
Your bike has broken down?
limbimtimwim
29th September 2006, 15:49
Your bike has broken down? No! It is running great!
But it is a Suzuki, so I'm just sorta.. Pre-empting it, if you will.

Deano

Forecast is for rain, followed by more rain. But hey, who cares, right? :(
On the other hand, the forecast for the weekend couldn't be better :)
Deano
5th October 2006, 08:55
There is a little blue sky trying to poke through. One forecast predicted snow on the top of the Takas. Might be worth a look if it fines up before tonight.

Velox
12th October 2006, 11:37
Are many other people riding tonight? I'll bring the Jade if there's a group going but otherwise I might just stay home and pick apart the cbr.
skelstar
12th October 2006, 11:51

skelstar
16th October 2006, 17:35
Was the strip comp upstairs (so to speak)?
MikeyG
16th October 2006, 17:40
Downstairs still wasn't finished last week. If it is still not finished I'd say that it'll be upstairs
Fatjim
16th October 2006, 17:44

Not even on ladies night?
Deano
19th October 2006, 07:59
I'd say the strip comp is downstairs, too many pool tables up stairs. ( unless they are going to dance on the tables)
Hope the weather is okay, seems like ages since I've been out on the big Blade.
skelstar
19th October 2006, 08:01
Ill be heading along at 7:30pm...weather not looking flash tonight.
Velox
19th October 2006, 13:36
Hmmmm - I'm outta there if the strip comp is on upstairs. It usually is downstairs but I didn't think they were finished down there yet?
Too yuk to ride today and I need to suss what bits I gotta order for the bike anyway. See you all at the pub.
VasalineWarrior
19th October 2006, 15:28
Well, if anyone DOES go out tonight on the ride they win "mad props" from me for being hardcore-myself though I beleive I shall pass on this one
Maybe this is part of the grand opening for the downstairs bit (the strippers thingie), but if it isnt the exchange is down the road, and the beer is cheaper there too (but no free pool)
Il come past and grab jim by the ear and bring him along with me. Should be easy to find il just go to the front and look for the guy waving a $5 note with no pants on
Hitcher
19th October 2006, 15:30

Fatjim
19th October 2006, 15:33

Meet at usual spot if fine - we may have a mystery Ork KBer joining us at the pub tonight as well.
Looks like we're back at Breakers (@Infinity) tonight.
See you there for some pool and a beer.

This might be a silly question, but why would you 'drive' to a track day, unless you have a bike in the back, which begs the question....is it now a GSXR, SV, GSR AND GN track day ?

This weekend is the suzuki track day. The GSX-R track day is in november. Driving up because I'm not sure if the bike would make it. When I get a better bike I'll start riding to track days.

Cheers to Skelstar (our safety advisor) for pointing out the piece of 4x2 sitting in the lane for the return trip up the hill - amazing what you can see when you are slow eh ? (p/t)
And Simon, 'don't hold me back' Limbimtimwim. I think he was getting the competitive urge last night.

rob, I would suggest doing the wednesday night rides - the thursday ones arnt called "real" for nothing, speeds can get well.... speedy.....
I did my first kb ride on one of these thursday nights, wasnt a problem at all but i was riding by myself.
If you do go please please understand that you DO NOT have to ride at the speed everyone else is, take it at YOUR pace.
skelstar
2nd November 2006, 11:46
Agreed, don't be offended but Wednesday nights are def more 250 friendly (and theres heaps more riders).
Feel free to join us at the pub afterwards though...Breakers in the Hutt after 8ish.

I remember a particularly good RTNR a year and a bit back, the Pie Cock hill road had been opened that day after a particularly shitty piece of Wellingtons finest weather. We'd gone straight to the old hangout instead of riding, but at about midnight, someone said "I've got a good idea!"
Never one to be left out, I aggreed it was indeed a "good idea", as did two other dickheads.
We climbed on the bikes and decided we'd go have a look-see at the road condition. The two Gixxer mounted pilots in matching Violators got a bit of a gap on their comrades and soon reached the sumit, both having a few good "moments" on the way through. After a cigarette at the top, and waiting a bit, they thought they'd best tootle back towards Pauatahanui to find the other two.
Sure enough, parked at the side road about a third of the way down, was the Fizzer and SP1, both owners shaking their heads having experienced a syncronized spin out in the silt on the road. Then in tandem asking/shouting "WHOS FUCKEN IDEA WAS THIS?!"
Ahhhhh, good times.................

Yeah Yeah Yeah...Blah Blah Blah......
Still recovering after the sprint day trip back over the Takas. Worst conditions I've ever ridden in.
I'm waiting for my next supply of hard pills to arrive in the post. :bleh:
Yep, pretty dodgy all right. I rode back from over that way in the morning of the sprint day, some of those gusts on the way up were so strong that they actually turned my front wheel away from me, not to mention almost stopping 350kg of bike and rider in their tracks. At least the wind kept my visor clear of rainwater...

The thurs night rides are great fun but folk tend not muck around. If you want a medium paced ride then the Wednesday ride (search for 'TCWNR') is the one to check out. Of course some riders on 250's will kick my arse so don't take offence to my 'pace' suggestion.
Failing that you are very welcome to come have a beer with us at Breakers afterwards.
