Talking Heads recorded live in 1980 - 80 minute set. Touring "Remain in Light". This is FANTASTIC

Talking Heads (particularly at this time) are fucking brilliant. This pre-dates Stop Making Sense so while there are extra musicians, there aren't like 9 of them... and you could have worse side-men than Bernie fucking Worrall and Adrian fucking Belew!

Seriously this is absolutely worth the click.

alison Mossheart (yes, really) is from Detroit and was in a punk band whose name I forget. Her and Jamie Hince are The Kills. All of their albums are stellar and totally recommended. The first one "Keep On Your Mean Side" contains a song which I know you will like called "Fuck the People".

In fact, PM me your address and I will burn you a copy.

If you recognise her/her voice it is because she was/is the singer with Jack White's sometime band (with half the Raconteurs) THE DEAD WEATHER. their first album is really good ("Horehound") and they played a fucking kick arse show at the Powerstation a few years ago. Alison is one of the best front people I have ever seen male or female.

I was lucky enough to have good mates and family overseas when I was a young fella, and they used to get sent heaps of cool music that no-one over hear had really heard of.
I remember a mate sending me some very early Metallica and Megadeath, and people where like " what the fuck is that shit" and then they started getting air time here and everyone was into them. Thats usually when I lose interest, when they become main stream.
I love the invention of the interwebs, because now we can get music from all around the world that is current.:headbang:
