Dishwalla, obviously, is a band. I'd link you to a youtube vid or something but the internet connection here is slow, so you can do it yourself - my personal favourites of theirs are "Every Little Thing", "Collide" and "Counting Blue Cars".

Yay. Did see them too. In fact I was trying to get a 12 seater running from HB to Akl and had Axeman advertising it for me. But no takers. So did the trip with my son.
Venus Doom. Nothing that grabs you direct. No Sweet 666, Heartache everey moment or even Rip out the wings of a butterfly. More polished then earlier albums. Someone might say that it is good. Personally I miss the rawness. But if you are a fan then it will hit the spot. Definetley do not think it was wasted $$'s.

We'll see if this manages to cross the Cultural Divide.
From a movie called The Pied Piper. Feature lenght movie shot in 24 hours in Prague on new year's eve. FYI the adult version of this European fairytale actually involves the Piper falling in love with the mayor's daughter. This doesn't work out because of the prejudice against him and his job, so he leads the WHOLE TOWN into an abyss just as they are having a new year's celebration.

If you can be bothered, here's a translation of the lyrics:
I wait for you
So many years
I've known you
The stairway to heaven
Is slippery as ice
I'll offer a hand
So many, many stars
Above you
So many, many ways
Will lead you there
My name
You already know
I'm your shadow
And your fear
On and on
You keep meeting me
I grow strong
On your tears
So many, many stars
Above you
So many, many ways
Will lead you there
I wait beyond
The mist
You know not
What I need say
What lies beyond the darkness?
Maybe nix
And maybe more...
So many, many stars
Above you
So many, many ways
Will lead you there

Nice, make it to the concert? I managed to scam a first-to-the-barrier pass off a guy I met out in front for auckland. Saw them in brisbane too last year, best 2 concerts I've seen by a looooong way.

Yeah, I think the sound was better in brisbane (covered stadium) but then again we were a bit far back and not directly in front of one of the speaker stacks... For auckland I was on the barrier at the left edge of the stage... Spent most of the concert with Adrian, Steve or Dave standing about 2m away and making tonnes of eye-contact with the crowd... absolutely brilliant.
Have you seen the Flight 666 documentary? I've got it pre-ordered from Amazon, it was pretty damn cool...

It's pretty good, lot of time spent with the band and then awesome live footage of the full song from every song they played, each at a different venue. Well worth a watch... US$15 from amazon I think...

Hahaha dedication! My mates had passes so I wandered up with them, got talking to some guy who had left all his mates back with their girlfriends and had a spare pass that he let me have. Turned out that he lives on the same street as me, about 30 houses down, pretty random. He also mentioned that if I saw a bike blasting up and down the road it was probably him, so if you're reading this mate, hit me up!

After Forever - Reimagine
After Forever - Self Titled
Bloc Party - Intimacy
Nemesea - In Control
Which gets alternated with a CD full of Nightwish and a CD full of Iron Maiden...
Just got back from dropping my girlfriend off while 'Energize Me' off the self titled After Forever was playing, cranked it up to hearing-damage volume and drove around the block another time for the fun of it.
