totally called dibs on this one :D Was my first bucket. It's/was a good reliable wee bike. Basically std. Pipes shortened and gutted. Fork springs shortened and fitted with a 65mm spacer and 20 weight fork oil. New plugs & points. Was jetted and tuned on the dyno by Honda Country Ashburton - cost more than the bike :lol: Just under 15 rwhp iirc. Good yokohama tyres but they're a bit old. Looks like the kick start has been removed - always started 2-3 kicks cold and first kick warm. If it hasn't been mucked around with it should go well.

Probally not to much wrong with as a chassis. Personally it looks a bit flimsy and would probally need some bracing if you were starting to push it. But it would be an improvement on what you have. For a backbone frame from the 80's it is probally on the pricy side

Spoke pattern looks like an Impulse wheel. They seem to work OK. If it was red I be more confident that this is what it is.

Sorry, you're on drugs. It is GS/GSX pattern. Repulse was quite different & had vented discs too.

I'm assuming GS125 or X7, or smaller X1 (GT50). But they were all 18s I thought. Not that TM punters could tell a wheel size.

Actually thats quite a big heavy disc (note the lame home drilled holes, like that would do anything), probably off a GS750, but that would be 19" Axle dia is pretty big. Small suzis have tiny axles, GT50s 10mm. That would be maybe a 15 or 17?

The HT1 I have is a 90cc piston port, pre AG100 looking thing. I have put a RX125 front end and wheels, tank, and a seat/ off my CB bucket.
Was chucked together as a hack so a mate could have thrash around in C Grade.............

It worked , he bought a VJ21 RGV250 F3/Pre 89 bike and has another one now for spares and will be using the spare frame as a bucket, maybe with the old RX125 engine, or The Honda125, or the TF125, lots of choices

There are ways around distance, ya know ;) (I know we've got another bike to take down to Roys' Hill, but not sure how that's going to fit in the van with the buckets, so I'm thinking maybe we just need to head there a non-race weekend and go and harass the HB crew - but shhhhh, Henk hasn't thought it through yet lol). We could see if any of the other Auckland mob are keen to come down to RH in July and can bring the AX down with them (you do realise you now have contacts in Auckland, too, that would be more than willing to bring stuff along to away bucket meets we're going to, so long as room can be found for freighting down). I think its the guy that had it in a TZR frame, I cant remember the KB at the mo. There is a thread somewere about tying to get it running right





The cooling fins on the head have been ground down slightly to fit in a TZR 250 frame.

Yup that would be me.

It got most of the way there (to getting it running right that is), but given I have moved to A-Grade sooner than I would have expected, I need some reliability and I don't have time to dick around with it anymore.

Sad to sell it but at least it taught me a lot.
