I need an NZ250 fuel cap. Same as a GN one but nicer looking. Actually I could use a GN one but I'd rather have an NZ250 one.

A GSX400 is probably the same. There's probably hundreds the same - I just want one that fits - then I'll get picky about what it looks like.

No key required - the lock will be removed.

I'm after whole engines or just the cylinders and heads. The condition does not matter though I would prefer them to be closer to standard. If the bore is last oversize and completely screwed that is OK.

haha you're not the only one!

I'd be keen to trade a std one for my fast approaching 1.5mm oversize one in the forseeable future

How much did it cost you to replace the magneto coils? I have a spare one of these engines, but with a buggered stator. Also have a .5 OS piston.

Is that for the bike you got off garath? If so it has an AG100 Flywheel on it not an RX. Was done when I dumped the points and converted it to CDI ignition. I think I still have the RX fllywheel and base plate in the shed at home if you want it

Wanted 1994 RS125 forks with triple clamps. If the brake caliper and clip on handelbars are included that would be nice too.
Please reply to this listing or email jasonulyatt.1@msn.com
If you live in Auckland I will come and collect them, for anywhere else I will either get someone to collect them from you or get you to post them at my expense.
Let me know what you have got and what you want for it.

speedpro
8th February 2010, 07:18
At this time you should be considering just how big a valve could be fitted and looking for one of those. You then need to have a quiet chat to someone who knows what porting is all about. If you do go big make sure you do a very careful dummy assembly looking for clearance to the piston and also to the other valve.

Hey! Just looking for a front FXR150 wheel. The one on my mates bucket is bent. Or does anyone know of a cheap fix for a bent rim (somewhere I could take it in the Wellington area without burning a massive hole in my wallet)? Already looked on FXR150.co.nz and there aren't any listings there. I have also looked on trademe and had no luck.

Cheers!

I think FXR150.co.nz has a writeup on putting these in, it's not hard to do although you need a lathe or access to someone who can use one

Long story short, the wheel is rather bent. I have discovered that the front end of the bike is from a Suzuki GT125.

So, I presuming this will be the full on set up wet bike then? Permantly fitted with wets to eliminate those pesky wheel changes, maybe a softer suspension setting for the wet track? Or are you going to just starting leaving the bikes at each of the tracks we race at to get rid of that pesky need to load up the van?

So, I presuming this will be the full on set up wet bike then? Permantly fitted with wets to eliminate those pesky wheel changes, maybe a softer suspension setting for the wet track? Or are you going to just starting leaving the bikes at each of the tracks we race at to get rid of that pesky need to load up the van? I mean you would have too, its not like your shed at home has any spear space for ANOTHER bike.

Ok my rant over, let normal trasmission resume.

All valid points, so do you have some chain adjusters or not?

To be honest this is probably going to be for sale soon, needed CDI, coil, sproket carrier, chain and sprockets when I got it, since I had all of these to spare figured it was an easy way to get another bucket on the scene, missed the one bit I didn't have.

The wet bike idea is appealing though, I'll ask Jess if I can leave it at your place and get you to haul it around for me. What does she drink? might have to ply her with alcohol before I ask.

Bikes are always happier in pair's, three's, quad's of more................

Havn't got many orphan bikes in my fleet, there always seems to be a "spare" turn up

One Impulse frame even came from Henk, I looked at it this morning to see if the adjusters were the same as FXR

No XR100 motors in your shed are there? If I can find one I'll probably flick the FXR motor and turn the frame into an F5 bike for Michelle.

No 100 4T's. Might be able to find a 50 2T, I have a hunt around for both:yes:

You will probably have to make your own. You can buy a cable kit and some different ends (if they are not included) and solder yourself one up if you go to the right sort of motorcycle dealer - probably a more dirt oriented place.

There may be something sock thats works though.

I picked up an AX 100 the other day, I got it blind was just told it was a 2 stroke commuter, It is a a rusty heap but turns over, if any one wants it it's free to anyone who can be bothered to pick it up. Going to scrappy if not.

What frame is it going into? If it's an FXR you should be able to use the carrier that came with the bike.
The Impulse rear axle is the same size as an FXR but the GSXR is smaller.
If it's for a frame other than that measure up your rear axle and I'll see which of the two is closer and send that, they are pretty much identical other than the bearing sizes as far as I can tell.

F5 project stage one is complete. I have a sort of running engine.
Now does anyone have an FXR rolling chassis they want to get rid of?

Surely you don't want a heavy fxr frame for your 50?

Henk
29th April 2011, 19:19
Engine is out of an XL100. Yes the frames are pretty heavy but I'm all geared up for crashing FXRs with spares and stuff, bike is going to be more for laughs and to get out there in F5 than to try and set the world on fire.
Plus I figure enough FXRs have been terminally blown up for there to be a few frames rotting in sheds.

I would very much like to borrow a carb that is of similar size and shape to a 24mm OKO/KEIHN flatslide.

I have one on its way (or not and i got scammed $700) but in the meantime I am trying to mount my engine. As there is not much room to play with in the carb vicinity, I would like to check clearances etc before I commit to making the mounts.
