We ran close to the start last year only because we had to wait for a friend of our's at Mana/Paremata.

It was great last year, and I expect the same this year. Will see how I go but this could be a plan for Sunday..............but then again I do have a 30th to go to on Saturday night.............might have to be the sober driver, since Pauly did it on Saturday night.

No was the coffee stop at Otaki eh Al.Thought it was good timing when we arrived,no hanging around waiting,15 mins and briefing was started, well timed I thought, nothing worse than hanging around for 30-45 mins.

This was a fantastic day for such a good cause. A bit of a shame more locals didn't go down. YOU REALLY MISSED OUT. :spanking:

We couldn't have asked for a better day. Just a small group of us went down, meeting for a coffee stop at Otaki, then heading into the City.
The weather in Wellington was magnificent and the harbour looked fantastic.
The company was mint.

The police escort didn't turn up so the organisers managed the best they could with the multitude of intersections and roundabouts. The Ride around the bays was slow but scenic and when we got back we enjoyed some drinks and nibbles, before collecting our prizes :first: and heading home.
(Only one member of our group chose not to wear pink)

An awesome run by Fastrax on her new Kwaka.:niceone:

So when do we do the cancer ride for guys?

Hi Gizmo

Keep an eye on the horowhenua/ palmerston north co ordinators thread as Bogan has been talking about filtering groups down to Levin earlier timing will be fairly tight on the day and the last group will be leaving Levin 10 am sharp (from Fatboyz bar) .. Not me. Can't get the day off. I went on the protest ride about 30 years ago when their was outrage that the registration cost was going from about $100 to $180 (something like that) In the end the increase was less than first announced. I'm picking the same will happen again.

Well Gizmo and I left Feilding at 8:00 am to head to the Bikoi meet at Palmy Square. I was amazed at the number of bikes heading the other way towards Sanson. It was an easy run to Palmy then down to Wellington via Levin. There was the odd idiot on the road but overall a very sedate run. I lost Gizmo at Levin, and ran into him at the cake tin. Shit there were a lot of bikes there. It was great to run into a few friends, a really awesome, sociable day. Long but so much fun, whoever said you need to go fast to get a blast.

Upcoming rides: There will be a couple more rides between now and Christmas. :chase:

We are planning an easy ride for Wgtn Anniversary weekend.

Coffee meets and rides sound good. There's been so much on the last few months that I personally haven't had much of a chance to think of a decent ride. However, it seems to be high time for a good overnighter, I think a few are keen for something in a few weeks time.
