Biker culture, politics and general issues.

Anyway I'm still alive, albeit a little bit gross and sweaty, probably nerves.

I never went into it thinking I was all that and a bag of chips, thought I might struggle and gosh darn was I right! I don't even know how to drive a manual so not a great start lol. Want

  3. Have I made some newbie mistakes? (30/11/2012)

Anyway thoughts appreciated, don't think I'll get the gear for another 2 or 3 weeks:

  4. How it started...

I guess you could say I've never really had any hobbies as such. Nothing I've ever come across could take my fancy or my interest, rather, for any longer then a week or two, maybe a few, have just always kind of lacked the motivation to get interested in any one thing, for any length of time...

About 2-3 years ago I met a good friend who is also now my flatmate, "M". I've never really known anyone who rode a motorsicle but M did, and it seemed pretty cool, bad ass, haha. When summer ...

  5. So I've decided to start a blog...

I've never really bothered to look at the blogs, kind of didn't realise/forgot they were there but really do see a place for them. So as to not be bothering people in the forums, perhaps I should start a blog? And anyway, a blog will help me "reminisce" over all my little "hiccups" and "triumphs" I've had (and will continue having, one hopes????, we'll see.....).

Where to start? Thought I'd collate some of my posts to date into blogs... here goes!
  6. 3 For 13

One could be forgiven if they thought that I am about to launch into a tirade about the New Zealand Cricket Team...but no, this weekend I've managed to do my first three rides for 2013!

When I got back to the office after after Christmas, I was pleasantly surprised to find the replacement stebel horn had arrived so that was fitted straight away....works good, but I didn't get to go for a ride, then had to work Thurday and Friday and didn't expect to get any riding done this weekend ...

  7. 2012 In Retrospect

    Thank God that’s over!!

2012 has been another ‘short’ year where I feel I’m just getting used to writing ‘/12’ for the date and it’s already time to start on ‘/13’!

Highlights for the year were:…..Bugger Me! I don’t think there were any!!

    Lows:
    • I missed the TT2000 due to a lack of pingers (couldn’t sell the old red, painting flats and too many trips), plus the dodgy-hip and lack of conditioning. That was a bummer because I was planning to do

  8. New Project December 2012 - the Kawasaki Zephyr

Purchased a 1991 Kawasaki Zephyr on 3rd December from a mate who bought it as a project himself.I was fortunate enough to get it off him before some random stranger purchased it for destinations unknown..wreckers, oddball doer uppers, who knows where this poor lovely bike could've ended up.

    Day one

this is her on the day she arrived in my garage, the hard stuff was pretty much
