Well just picked up my scooter from a service. It was going to be just routine oil & air filter but of course ended up to be more. A grand total of $930 The bike had done 12500 km and always been serviced . Had airfilter replaced 6k last time. But this time required the belt drive and variation rollers replaced plus plugs, oil and airfilter. Was this value for dollars for the bike, considering you can now buy a new one for $5990 the ORC. No complaint against the scooter ...
First Adventure Ride. Sunday 16th May. The date of my first off seal ride. Thanks to gpcustom (kiwibiker), I had a shiny new bash plate to go with my way too clean DR650. I must say I was a little nervous. I was due to meet a few guys from Auckland and hopefully one from Hamilton. Spent the day organsizing the back wheel bits Robbed the hub out of a spare jappa back wheel & stripped a 23" front wheel, from a '79 XL/XR500 ,down to its naked rim Ill get them bead blasted ,respoked , powder coated in satin creme then Ill rebearing & reseal the result Then its a new sprocket & trials tyre time
I was out riding my motorbike (00 Suzuki TF125) today at the local river and i had been riding it the whole day. just bought it. always made a slight tapping sound. anyway rode it for the whole day then all of a sudden it stopped. still got spark. compression. fuel. and air still turns over, but doesnt want to start now. what else should i do before it start deassembling it. is it possible that its just worn piston ring, down on comp than normal

Sunday 9 May Weather looking pretty good, have a good healthy breakfast, load the saddle bags up with plenty merino layers stuffed into plastic bags and head on out of town about noon time.
