  1. My first C1KC Part 2

And on to Part 2... only problem with doing all these trips is trying to remember everything to write up afterwards, and the time it takes. Still, better than trying to remember the details 6 months down the track without a blog.

John had kindly offered me a bed for Saturday evening, and since I had been up since Friday morning I figured it was a better idea to stay in Wellington overnight, then return home on Sunday. Once all the riders had checked in, and everything was tallied, ...

  2. Up then down then up again.

Got the engine back from the engine re-conditioners with new gudgeon pin and studs sorted. I then took the bottom end down to local bike shop to try and get the flywheel off and to our frustration the puller they have was too deep, so I went and tried to order one with no luck. Following a couple hours of procrastinating when I got home I strated putting the engine back together again. Enjoy the pics with a couple comparing the CBR125 and 150 cylinder and heads. Sorry I didn't get a pics of the ...

  3. Finally

I booked my full licence, but I am not happy, $130 for the full licence seems a lot, I asked why and she said 1 July it went up and 1 October GST.... I swear someone up or out there is trying to stop me riding. If I had done it in September when my 12 months was up I could have saved pennies.. oh well... although I not only love it, its was cheaper to take the bike than the car. Now I am not so the sure with rego going up... Ah but I have a new full time job to pay for some of these little expenses, ...

  7. My first C1KC Part 1

Damn those Wellingtonian riders. While chatting at the end of the Grand Challenge, Wuzards-Eugene and XP@ had tried to talk me into doing the C1KC, or Capital 1000km Cruise. Organised by KoroJ, its a 1000km ride starting in Wellington and runs each year. Aimed at attracting more riders into longer distance riding, it's a ride I have never done before.

Of course, there was a small hitch. It started in Wellington at 0630 on a Saturday morning. I was in Auckland. Rather than take a day ...

  8. 2010 C1KC - Musical Bikes

With this year being the fourth C1KC, planning for the event is a bit easier as, after organising a new route, most of the stuff just needs to be regurgitated and tweeked, but that doesn’t stop us making plenty of mistakes though….which we do try to learn from.

After deciding that a foray into the East was in order, the route fell into place, notices were placed on forums and emails sent to subscribed riders who had previously registered or completed the run and then it was back to ...
