Posted in the forums, putting here as an easy to find record. Tyres fitted @ 14k (4.5k after buying bike) Metzler ME 880 WWW Ok so the sun was out today but it was a little chilly. Wrapped on a couple of merino layers, waited for the Moll to put her war paint and layers on and off we scooted. A nice slow pootle down SH1 over tar hill and onto SH30. Not much traffic, but taking it easy, because for some reason I now had it in my head that the tyres were to a point of ...
Wow, the weather has been amazing. I rode my motorcycle on a 6 hour road trip (straight and flat like you would not believe) to the french part of canada to visit some friends and family...and that's where the fun started. I got out playing on a 998cc Can-Am Spyder for 4 hours in the mountains. It handled very differently from a motorcycle....the steering in corners was much more like riding a snowmobile or a quad. The braking was amazing as the computer tells the ABS brakes what needs to happen ...
I finally got around to sitting my restricted test yesterday, I'd put it off for so long that it had started to become a big brick wall standing in front of me! I can't believe it took me so long, but at least I didn't let my learners licence get wiped off my licence altogether. I was so nervous that I would stall, wobble or not stop properly at an intersection. I practised around the streets surrounding the testing point that I thought might be used in the test, and I read up on ...

We met on the Paihiatua track turnoff at the Antiques shop - a Kawazaki er6n, two aquillas, two shadows, a trumpy and of course a harley, you can't really go anywhere in NZ without one of them showing up We left just after 8am, and set off down highway 57 in dismal - need your wet weather gear - rain. By the time we hit the gorge the weather was looking a bit brighter, and the traffic was minimal. The gorge was fairly good this day (stuff-all grit on the road) and the Harley ...
So I get her home in the van; what a mission almost dropped it off the plank getting it into the van and getting it out. What can I say, it looked so bad but I knew it could be so good. I had been spending literally every minute I should have been studying working out how much it would cost to bring it to perfect condition. $2000 max I reconed. After posting on KB I knew the Rectifier was fucked, so I couldn't really ride it without fucking up the battery. Someone ...
