  2. Injury update

Well some of you will know I offed back in the middle of March this year. Bad call aborting an overtake only to have a sea of red brake lights in front of me when I looked back from my over-shoulder check.

My husband had just flown up to the States the day before and I had to phone him from the side of the motorway saying "well, you might like to sit down; I'm ok and the bike is still ridable..." (well, it was in a sense).

Little did I know at the time I'd broken ...

  3. New Zealand - Week 2

    8 September 2009

Mountains, road trip, skiing, hot pools and a twenty-first… Last weekend heralded my first Saturday back in NZ, and I think it may have convinced me that coming back to the end of winter was not such a bad thing after all. After half a week back home in which I slept, played soccer and joined the gym I was ready for more adventure. Simply sitting still just wouldn’t do. Luckily a friend of mine had organized a trip to the snow for her twenty first. Next challenge? ...

  4. Boobs on bikes

Steve Crow September 14 at 10:58am Reply
We have more people for this year's Boobs on Bikes than ever more but we are still well short of our target of 100 ladies and 100 guys. If you are sitting on the fence and think that maybe you would like to do what may well be the last ever Boobs on Bikes parade then now is the time to step up to the plate and join us.

We don't care if your boobs are big, small, non-existant, young, old, saggy or pert, real or fake - who cares, the point ...

  5. White ribbon run november 2009

The Bream Bay Community Support Trust is organising their second White Ribbon Motorcycle and Classic car rally this November 28th 2009. Last year we had around 300 bikes attend along with various hot rod clubs with their cars. The White Ribbon Run was started in response to the killing of women and children who died as a result of domestic violence. Last year in 2008 14 women and children died at the hands of their partners and stepfathers. This year their has been an unprecedented number of bikers ...

  7. Pre GC Rides…I need some!

It was my intention to go for a decent (1000 – 1100km) pre-GC ride today, starting between midnight and 0100 to get a bit of night riding in, then explore a few roads up in the Waikato, but as it transpired, events and the weather worked against me so I just ended up going for a local ride.

It was a great day when I got up shortly after 0800 with bright sunshine inspiring me to remove the liner from my jacket and after a light snack I departed to stop by the office at 0930. From there ...

  8. 2008 Suzuki Bandit GSF650 SK7 vs GSF1250 SK7

Well last week a guy at work mentioned he wanted an 'as new' original tail section to replace the tail tidy on his GSF1250... It just happened that I was looking for a tail tidy for my GSF650.

Long story short we paired the bikes up in the work garage at lunch time, with rulers and sharp eyes we measured and compared the bikes. A as fate would have it there are no physical components that are different including the frame and sub structure that would have ...
