I pulled a sicky today, well yes and no, I could have gone to work, but most certainly would have been a risk to myself and others, but to be honest was not sick, just lethargic from no sleep.. And it felt great, I'm full to the brim with pith and vinegar, I'm going to fuckin own these next two days, hell I might even head to the gym on Friday, its been a few weeks, I'll need to re-assess my max lifts and restart the 5x5 program, but that's ok, with 3 years paid membership we have ...
Nine Inch Nails. The kind of band that, for a certain age group at least, carries a heavy weight of expectation. I was 15 when I got my hands on a copy of The Downward Spiral, and like so many other mopey teenagers in eyeliner it became the soundtrack to my teenage angst and late-night poetry-writing. It’s been a decade but they’re still my go-to group when I want to hear that someone is feeling more whiny than me. Despite their reputation as being more of a tribute band of themselves these days, ...

I'm still awake.. Which means 2 things, I should steer away from caffeine and high energy foods at night... And if I get some sleep it will not be enough to function in a safe manner at work, so I should take the day off, which probably won't matter anyway as it's so quiet at the moment. I don't know whether to blame the lack of activity on the dreaded "RECESSION" or the fact that un-named boss has a shit reputation for charging through the nose and also ...
Its dead, the Spartan, it no longer runs like it used to, in fact it no longer runs at all. It's dead. Fuck. You no longer have a motorbike. For the past 3 ? years You have let it fall into a shabby state of dis-repair, shame on you, BUT, it's done, short of selling your soul and alot of semen that's how it's going to stay. So what can you do ? First things first, don't cry into the breast milk, it's your fuck up to bear. Second, get rid of the ...
I was filtering between two lanes of stationary traffic today, at a red light. There was a light truck in the right lane, positioned all the way to the left of his lane. As I got closer I realised there was no way I was going to be able to get my mirror past his mirror, so I was going to be stuck between lanes when the lights changed. But as I came up beside the truck, the driver saw the problem. Next thing I know his mirror was making a whirring sound and folding forward out ...
In a multitude of ways it seems. The Good: The flood of offers to help fix up the Kwaka after my spill. Lots of guys all wanting to help out, lots of advice on dealing with insurance companies and the like. I'm not one of those cynical twats who thinks that it's by virtue of my feminine nature that's made people want to help out, I am genuinely thrilled at how people here are so keen on bikes and getting people on them The Bad: I'm not sure how it's gone on here ...
We start heading down the mountain that took us so long to climb, enjoying the view but also being very very wary of the steep edge. That is not the side I want to fall down, as I will not be coming back up! The mountain is steep, and we are (well, at least I am) tired, and hungry! Soon, we reach the very small town of Thethi. We meet some fellow Czech motorcyclists who are ...
