You wake up and think its a lovely sunny summers day. Great lets go for a ride, hmm who to go with not much of a choice as I didnt really know many bikers. I arranged to meet Phoenix, and Skidmark *(didnt know what his reputation was like on KB at that point as I was a newbie)*

We left Akl and the destination was Kaiaua. Both them were on ZXR 250s and I was on my ZX6R. Great I had the upper hand and power hahaha!

3. Anyone for coffee?....In Rotorua

It's been several months since I saw my Moko', not to mention my daughter and son living in Rotorua. Nanny Ann and I had planned to go up for the weekend recently but it didn't happen, so with a free weekend, no ride for the past few weeks, the Rusty Nut Grand Challenge (GC) coming up in a couple of months and a lack of night riding in recent times, I thought it would be a good ride to leave early in the morning (about 2:00am), ride up, spend the day with them and ride back about 4'ish.

4. Disaster!

Friday afternoon, big photography day. Need to document a school ball.
On scooter down to the town hall, camera and flash unit stashed under the seat. Get the images and back to work. Off the scooter, camera slung around neck and pop the flash unit into the helmet to carry it inside. You guessed it! Flip the helmet up to pop it on the shelf. Out falls the flash unit. #!@%&!!!
No, it won't power up. Biggest day of the year. Hundreds of casual photos to take of teenagers on ...
5. First Bike-Bandit 250?

Hi there,
This is my first time on here -though I've been sussing it out for a while - and it looks like alot of people have good info to give, so would appreciate any help offered.
I decided after years of fluffing about, I really want a motorbike. Been searching for about 3-4 weeks on trade-me and others trying to get an idea of what I'm after in a bike. I've had some experience when I was a kid riding round in paddocks, but I'm looking to brush on my skills -ie. remember what it's ...

Dedicated to the memory of our Mentor, Uncle B.

Thanks Carbacca and Bull for your selections this week and to Rosie and Quallman1234 congratulations you will be our selectors over the next fortnight.

In reading Bull’s comments below it made me reflect on an approach to a training strategy I discussed last November and represent it here [DEE-FAP]:

Had a good crash on the weekend, think it's my third in about 3 months. Definatly feel i'm on a roll and do not think I should stop.
Going for a nice weekend ride over the port hills here in Christchurch, was a little eager to be out riding perhaps.. going up the hill, took a corner with a bit of speed. behind the corner was a car backed up behind a bicycle, car coming from the other direction, I didnt have anywhere to go and popped on my brakes, front type virtually stopped I went virtical ...

Just a little vid I made the other night on my NC24. The speed through the tunnel at the end is from 100 - 155kph in fifth gear so in sixth gear I think it might even be able to do 170 - but its hard to find out with the roads I have available...
a daytime vid would have been much better for viewing, but a weeknight is the only time there is that little traffic around. I still need to figure out a better setup for the sound too, to reduce wind ...
