A top bloke and good mechanic. He may come to the track on Saturday to take some photos befor he goes to work. He has lent me his bike and a 70cc Derby kit to have a look at, for a f4 bike. His bike was in a pile of bikes and weeds in his garden. Needs a bit of TLC but i got it running tonight. He would not let me buy the bike, because he lends it to people who want to get into Buckets. A realy decent ...

  2. CB500RS the Creation

Well' I have been meaning to start this for a while now and it was the Aero that got my arse into gear to get this one sorted....

For a while now I have had an CB250RS stuck away in the back of the shed to use as a project base,so all parts not needed have been or are on Trademe and as a result I have already recouped the amount I paid for the bike..................

First thing I decided was that I want a old school style with some modern twists

  4. More bikes to add!

So last Sunday sees me on the back of a couple of more bikes, so I thought it would be a good idea to list them here.

  5. Jessica pulls herself together (04/05/2011)

Ok... so not without some considerable help from the mechanics.

As blogged before, a uh, miscalculation in trajectory saw the BMW tumbling into a field. Rode her back, and the last two months have been spent sorting insurance claim, waiting for parts, then she got booked into the shop etc, and now she is finally being put back together with some shiny parts. While all that got going, I've been developing a healthy twitch in one eye, from the lack of riding her.

  7. Daft Lessons from a Learner - (Part 1 Probably!)

Day 4 of riding and I already think I can pass on advice? Hell no. Feel pretty lucky not to have had an off so far though so thought perhaps others could learn from my near screw ups.

Day 1 – New bike is awesome – I own something that revs to 15,000rpm! I’m not sure I can adequately describe the beautiful cry of your first bike howling, or the first time you feel something really pulling at your hands, suffice to say I came back in with a huge grin on my face. Stalling pulling away ...
  8. Bad Luck….By the Truckload!

We had two rides this weekend!

The first was a wee overnighter for Ann & I up to South Taranaki for the opening of the new tino flash Dining and Ablution facilities, at her marae. We departed from work before lunch on Friday, pootled over to Masterton to visit mum, then over the Track for a fill in Palmy, before idling up SH3 to Kai Iwi Marae, where we helped with food prep for Saturday morning. For me, that included peeling kumaras, cutting up fillets for raw fish, slicing up sheep ...
