Went along to the gathering at Auckland Museum and joined the 15 or so riders for the ladies run. A great day for it and with Akl traffic even more congested than a weekday (this is normal!!), it was a great opportunity for the public to see the visual display of lady riders on all manner of bikes ....even the Fire truck gave us a toot and a wave as they speed past to a job Good to meet some new faces and reacquaint with others.

Great turnout today in nelson, over 500 bikes, TVNZ coverage and plenty of reporters etc. Good feeling from the public, plenty cheering from the sidelines. Onlookers said it took about 10mins for us all to come past! Disappointing response from the police, no presence at all, no traffic control so we were forced to swamp the intersections. Other motorists seemed pretty sympathetic and waited patently. End result of meeting with Nick Smith is that he says levies ...
