Don't you listen to them Skinny, wave or nod at every biker you see. If they don't wave/nod back don't worry.

If you don't wave, you will be just another car driver on a bike

Just remember, all bikers will stop if they see your bike lying on its side at the side of the road, just in case you are hurt.

And if you are not hurt badly, remember this is KB and some of them will only be stopping
to see if they can steal any usable parts to pimp there own bikes with
Please Mr ACC, my 1300cc bike was passed by a 400cc bike on a track day, can I have my fees reduced ?

A nice question of etiquette requires adjudication. Yes, about waving. Shut up, waving is important.

Now, I wave to anything with two wheels and an engine. Yes, scooters too. And Harleys. Sometimes they even wave back .

And I wave to trikes . And bikeycops.

But, pootling along last weekend, I was passed , by two of those perverted Spider things, going in the other direction.

The first waved to me. So they must have been sometime bikers. I was so surprised that I didn't wave back. Then the second waved also (they were clearly in a convoy). I sort of managed a have way nod.

So my question is , do Spiders class as bikes for waving purposes? They don't need a class 6 to drive (ride?). Or crash helmets (WTF) . But the two drivers were clearly once bikers, because they waved to me.

Do we wave to Spiders? This is a matter of great and high import, crowned heads and empires tremble in anticpation of the answer.

You need to expand your waving too list to answer this question.

Did they have Helmets used for motorbikes on ?
If the answer is yes, then they have been in a bike shop and deserve a wave.

I though this was the " do you wave thread" not the " have you ever had a real fight thread", because not you have told KB how much they cost, someone will fight you for them

I am on of these guys who has got back into bikes after a long period off and was out getting use to riding again and wondered what the fuck was going on as when this guy coming the other way on a bike waved, I thought shit is there a cop up a head, then I thought I am not speeding then thought oh hes just being friendly and so I waved back, hence he never saw it due to delay. Keep up the wave!

I will usually nod, but not at 2 particular classes:

    1. scooter riders (bikes of vespa type design, RMX/SMX50 etc are all good) as I know they won't see me as they are blind, proven by the abomination of aesthetics they are riding.

    2. Harley Riders - have tried a couple of times with blank results so stopped bothering.

I wave to everyone. I wave at fire trucks and truck drivers. I wave at the fuzz. Sometimes I even wave at random cars. But I get lots of weird looks
