wtf gav..?? I haven't hired anything..
my boots wore a hole in an unusual spot cos of the amour. I raised this, the shop said it's a fault. They replaced the boots. in short..
What I don't get with the whole cost thing, is that, if they hadn't been faulty in the first place, I wouldn't have been back with them! You don't pay for shoddy workmanship, else it comes back to bite you in the ass..
Some things like tyres and batteries have pro rata warranties, you're only covered for the remaining life.
This isn't the case with bike gear, except if they're so knackered that there is obviously no life left.
Good stuff Buggie.
But some of the warranty stories would make your hair curl. I can't give details, but the victim mentality is alive and well, it's always someone elses fault.

Good on SIDI for sorting you out. Told ya they would stand behind them. Good boots those.
Sidi have no clue about what's gone on. It's all been between the distributor, the shop and me. Apparently, Sidi 'wouldn't care'.
If anything, credit eventually goes to the shop for sorting me out. They supposedly are still paying the distributor what they're demanding. And the distributor won't go back to Sidi.. So all that hassle and cost, was meant to be coming back to me, just cos the boots weren't properly manufactured in the first place. But I only had to pay that, cos the boots I originally bought, were faulty. Go figure.. only took 4 weeks to sort out
Hey Buggie, my last boots lasted me over 15 yrs and the reason I replaced them is because the soles are getting thin and they were a bit light.
I bought a pair of Sidis and I'm in between sizes 45 too loose 44 too tight.
Took the 44's thinking they would get loose but they keep getting tighter.
I'm still hoping they will stretch but can't blame Sidi for that I spose.
They bloody leaked too but I think Ive fixed that.
Seem sturdy enough and I like the protection they should give me in a ? Cheers John.
All boots leak. What you need is gaiters. In Dorkland you can get them from the Army Surplus shop in K Rd opposite the billboard of the girl with the huge tits. Dunno where you'd get them down your way but Mr Scumdog originally out me onto them (for which, my thanks) so he must have a local source, which i sure he would reveal if askedOriginally Posted by oldrider

What you need is incontinence pants, they keep you warm in winter too, if you drink enough.
