ive pulled the plugs on both the vtz and the bandito - its fairly straight forwards (except for stuff in the way )

just make sure you dont cross thread them when putting them in.

also prehaps just pull em out, have a look - sand em a bit, chuck em back in - tempory fix that wont cost you anything

another handy lil hint: label your ht leads from 1-4 (left to right or vv) this ensures you get the firing order correct when you put it back together.

also i talked to my bro awhile ago about your headlights, he said it wouldnt be a problem to put a higher rated bulb in it (in terms of wires melting etc) but personally he would put a Xenon bulb in it (different gas from normal) as this produces more light but the draw back is these are expensive $20-$30. each.

Well, after some help from Str8 Jacket (thanks Hells), I've got a new spark plug in. It's definately running better, alot smoother and it's actually getting up to temperature now (still taking a long time to get there, but it's winter).

The old plug was pretty much black. Not a pretty site.

So while we were pulling apart my bike in the uni carpark. another guy comes in on an old 2 stroke 125 Yamaha. It wasn't idling well and eventually decided it wouldn't start too. We tried to get him crash started but to no avail. I hope he got going again. His bikes not there anymore so I'm guessing he did.

Hey wasp, an FXR's only got one cylinder and therefore only one sparkplug. It's kind of hard to get them mixed up

Sweet as dude, was happy to help. I felt really bad when I kicked my bike into life and that poor guy just watched me ride off!

Check your air filter isn't too dirty and that the choke is turning off properly, shouldn't be black.

    Can u do a photo?

Heres a pic of the old plug.

I cleaned the air filter a couple of months ago. Choke seems to be working properly
