Bloody kid keeps growing!
I should stop feeding him but then the noise starts!
And he has expensive tastes too, new Shark helmet that’s nicer and pricier than mine!
AND a new Spike jacket!
And he still needs new boots and has out grown his pants!
But he's 15 next year and will be on the road himself so I better get him something that will help me sleep at night.
Made a deal with him, he saves for his first bike and I'll get him all the gear...
Don’t like the way he was eyeing up the Sidi boots!
Got a very sharp deal on the gear tho so I can’t complain too much.

Im happy riding them around town but should probably get myself some leather pants for riding in the country....

They seem to do alright for themselves, Ive got the kevlar jeans made by SHIFT instead of draggin but same idea

If you look at accident damage, the lower body usually bears the brunt. Whilst the Dragons would appear to be abrasion resistant there is no impact protection.

Most leathers offer not a lot more, however, any impact protection you can get I feel is a bonus.

what he said. I commute around in them daily. My father had no problem setting me up with two pairs of them. There are other brands aswell that some would say are better, i have no problems with mine though. Just took a couple of rides to wear in and be properly comfortable to ride in.

Yea i would agree I think in an impact with dragons could leave you with some serious brusises but I cant fit a spare pair of jeans in my bag or a pair of leathers in my bag when at uni

We're getting the new Ixon armoured fabric pants at AMPS soon. Cheaper than Draggin's.

I had a 50km/h crash in my draggin jeans 3 weeks ago and only suffered minor grazing and very little bruising and I landed leg first. They held up really well. Not sure they'd be so great at much higher speeds though, simply because of the lack of impact protection.

when i crashed either late last year or early this year comming off at 30-40 kms on a large patch of gravel - my normal stretch jeans from farmers held up fine and I still wear them on the flip side the marks are still on my knee.

My parents did the same for me, I had to buy the bike. I'm also pleased that there are still parents out there who do not insist on wrapping their children in cotton wool. There was a thread awhile ago about riders who would never et their kids ride a motorcycle on the road, but rather get them a car. I am aware that many parents these days just go out and buy whatever the kids want. I'm sure teenagers respect what they have more so when they have payed for what they have. I know I did...

The Draggins/Shift jeans are great, however I would only use them for sub-70k speeds. If you're going for a blat or a long trip, you can afford the time for proper leggings. But they're great for around town stuff, they feel just like normal jeans.
