Nominations for "Classic Quote of the year 2006"

As many of you know we have a yearly 'Classic KB Quotes' competition.
It seems 2006 was ether a slow year for quotes, or people were too busy filtering through all the C--- that KB has to offer to be bothered with Classic Quotes.

So our poll this year, Just the four options.

Bloody hell, the powerband must be narrow as.

The quote from Inlinefour was disqualified as he quoted his own written message on KB. (Supposedly a verbal quote from someone else)???? Hard call I know.

DirtMad's 'sig' is not an original and doesn't make the list ether sorry.
    See the Rules

    Congratulations to those Nominated.
Keep up the good work and maybe (if people want Classic Quotes to continue?) we'll see you back here Next year!

Tough call. Skyryder is classic Biker Truth and very quotable, but not sure it is an original Quote.
Scummy and Dover's though, is definitely classic KB

Most of those are particularly unfunny and not very witty. Maybe the context might help, could you post the links?

Plus Winja's motard quote was certainly deserving of being here, given the standard, unless of course he got that out of his Puffin book of jokes and insults.

    Thankyou for your input.

Quotes nominated for 06 can be found in the main 'Classic Quotes' thread. (06 from post 37) Some with links to the original. Sorry there wasn't much to choose from this year.

Nominations can only come from quotes placed in that thread. As most of us wouldn't even know about them other wise.
ie: Winja's motard quote - Never heard of it. (who reads what Winja writes anyway!)
If you think it is a worthy quote,, stick it in the Classic Quotes thread, to share with all of us. Then it may be nominated for the 07 poll.

Not that I'm biased by Nationality but Dover and Scumdog have both got connections with Scotland. Perhaps thet's why they have such humour and wit as is often on display.

Oi! You trying to get a classic quote line in the classic quote thread? Anyhow, everybody knows Scottish are loopy anyway (it takes one to know one!)

Anyway Dover aint Scotch. He's from one of those pipsqueak island places up round the Arctic Circle, they ain't connected to Scotland , there's all this water in between.

And NO country is going to admit to being associated with those weird mustachios.

As your 'sig' is a quote from loosebruce, then yes, you can add it to the Classic Quotes thread if you think it is appropriate.

Yes it Classic Quotes is open for business in 2007,
But it seems folks don't want to use it for some reason so I was thinking about just letting it die.
Are people too busy to write funny stuff?
Too much to read to bother nominating stuff?
Can't find where to place nominations?
    Forget about it?
    or not interested??

If interested, 07 nominations go here

    Cheers

Some of us don't write anything funny and are incapable of being amused.

I suspect the problem is your nominations process. A bit like having to choose between Helen Clark and John Key -- if nobody else/better stands, that's all you get to vote for.

I blame apathy but I can't be fucked doing anything about it.
