lol... I had a bird fly into the rear of my bike yesterday, I saw it briefly... then looked in mirror n saw it flapping around on the road, then Adie almost rode over it as she was not too far behind me!!... had a couple of other encounters as well, rugby ball, a sheep & a turkey... will post a ride report for laughs later tonight

I hit a sparrow trying to outrun me at 170kph last week, hit me right in the middle of the visor, bloody thankful its didnt break. I took pictures when I got home, Il post them up when I can be bothered, needless to say all that was left was a couple feathers on the handlebars and alot of blood and guts on the fule tanks and on my clothes

    Not me getting hit but...

Hyosung vs. what I thought was a rabbit. Scary shit when you've only been riding for about 2 weeks. Heading around a corner and slowed down since I thought the bunny was gonna do something stupid. Started to run in front of me and thought this could get interesting. Straightened the bike up, got off the brakes, made sure I wasn't choking the bars and thought what side to slide on if I came up.

Hit the bugger scare on with a bit of a wobble of the bars and then rode it out. Turned out it was a bloody big possum and I clean took off the head.

    Hyosung 1. Possum 0

I thought it was a good way to learn how to hit things

It was like hitting a basketball at 140km/h

On my black zxr250 (last bike) i had a sparrow hit the screen by the mirror and bounce of the right side of the face.

Me, the bike and the helmet weren't marked but i need fresh boxers.. kinda like being woken up with a boxing glove to the ear.

Jesus, i thought that would be a good story...

Hit a bird on my bike once , needless to say she didn`t want to go out with me again.

The bird I`ve been with for a while is much quicker....

Watch out for hawks. Big bastards, and they tend to use the road as a runway, ie staying in your path by flying along the road to get airborne.....
Agreed. They are slow as anything when they take off as well. Seagulls are another one to watch out for. You'd know all about it if you hit one of those.

I nearly hit my neighbours cat going up the driveway the other day. Stupid half wit thing didn't even know I was coming until I was about 2 feet from it. It starts running one way then changes its mind and goes the other way. Had to swerve pretty quick to miss the bloody thing.

Yeah bugs make a mess of things, riding into a swarm of sandflies at 100mumble mumble is like a sandblaster in the face.
Hit a little finch thingy just out of Putarau yesterday, saw it fliting around so droped my shoulder to try miss it but no... WHAMO! My pillion just say me tense up then a spray of pretty feathers off my right shouder.... Then coming through Te Awamutu in the 70 zone one flew out at about eye height (visor open...) managed to miss that one though. lucky
