    FS: 1999 Yamaha R6 - offers

    Wanting something around $4k.
Has ohlins bits in forks, steering damper, two bros exhaust, dynojet kit in the carbs, k+n air filter, near new metzeller M1's, HH fully sintered brake pads in in the front, plus a set of Race fairings. Odometer reading is 58,000km.

To make this bike 'mint' it will need a respray (talk to Satch), a left handle bar, a rear subframe, left passenger footpeg.

The main drawback is the that the engine is poked, although it will run there is a chunk missing from one of the cylinders lining's and therefore has no compression on that cylinder, also burns loads of oil as a consequence.

Engine prices range from $2k for one from wellington with approx 35k on the clock to $3k for one from the states with 8k on the clock.

It is uneconomical for me to but an engine in this bike for my own use, however if you are in auckland i will assist with putting the engine in etc.

Make an offer as is. I have already have a mate that is keen. This bike would make an awesome track bike and is a suitable stepup for an experienced 250 rider.

There is a pic in my profile, but i suggest coming and viewing it. Will go on trademe soon.

What do most people do when they sell their bikes? Get something bigger, faster, and more powerful!

you may note that Two Smoker no longer rides a two stroke... and KwakaKid races a Yamaha and has a fetish for VFR400's (f*ck how many does he own now?)

Dunno if the name will change. The money is in the bank, the bike will be gone soon, might put my foot in and try a bit of racing, otherwise i dunno. Gotta clear some debts i should have paid off ages ago and get myself in a better position to own a late model sprotbike.
