If the cunt came off, he came off, not your problem. He had a duffer scooter, was riding like a gorm, texting his boyfriend to put the coffee on and probably wondering why his g-string was pinching...he was an accident in waiting, like most scooter cretins I have the unpleasant duty of watching hurl themselves to their deaths in the bus lanes every morning/evening commute.

To be fair you couldn't reasonably anticipate them falling off when you hit the (air) horn. Shake 'em up sure, but coming off was their fault... they demonstrated their lack of control.

He might commute to work on a scooter but ride a bigger bike on the weekend. More people on scooters = less cars. No I don't ride a scooter but I have thought about one for zipping down to the shops. Still texting and riding is dumb.

I agree with MDU.... you contributed to the situation, be that intentional or not... so you should help him out as well... no matter how silly he was being, or what your situation is... its basic courtesy!

A horn is a pipping device when waving cordially to your friends in the cafe, cos it seems to do fuck all else to cage or dumbass scooter riders (unless it happens to 50 foot diameter fog horns as used in this example).

Personally my two brothers herald my frustrations, as could be attested by the ashen asians face that got such a rumble when she pulled into bus lane in front of me this morning...but we digress

Of course, riding without WOF and REGO is pretty bloody silly too, especially when combined with not helping out a fellow biker. What you should have done is picked him up and got him off the road, followed by a 10 minute lecture on safe riding habits.

And by the looks of most scooter meat bombs out there, they cant get hurt falling off....at least thats what I assume they think as they wear their high heals/jandals/bare feet/shorts/t-shirts/skirts/skull cap helmets while pinning the scooter through the traffic.

This said, I am a compassionate guy, and I would also stopped to make sure he at least stood up, then carried on while placing a scooter sticker on the gas tank.

Not having a go - but that's where we disagree. The dude's on 2 wheels and likely enjoys many of the same freedoms and fun aspects of riding those on bigger bikes do.

I agree there are some dimwits out there, and after you've picked 'em up after doing something incredibly dumb they can go on to learn, improve and possibly move more into your definition of a biker.

I'd like to think the future for that guy could include fun on 2 wheels - on whatever he chooses to ride. I'd also like to think he learned not to text while riding (God that's dumb). There have been a few others in here doing some seeming dumb things - and they get lambasted in proportion to the stupidity of their actions, but I can promise you for every one that falls, I'd be there to pick them up.
