Good days ride. When you guys stopped at Masterton I carried on up the Rimutakas and stopped at the Summit Cafe. Actually quite strange that there where no bikes there the whole time I was stopped except for a guy on a 955 Truimph that pulled up and had a short chat. Headed down the hill as I decided to do the Akatawara'a to see if I still disliked it. Was thinking of dropping in the the cemetery to see if I could fing either of the 2 Bruces memorials but decided to leave that for another day. A little further up the road dunno why I stopped at the Bluebank Brueberry orchard and picked some Brueberries (DUH) and had to eat a few while picking to make sure I was getting the right ones. The Akatawaras where very pleasant riding at a very relaxed pace. One the other side I meet two big hire campervans heading in in convoy dunno if they where planning on going all the way through as I certainly wouldn't wanna and turning around wouldn't be easy.

Just out of Shannon I saw Chancey and Cowboys with 86 on the back gave them a wave but wasn't going to stop.

Now shall I head down there again today to take some pics of that corner Merv and Str8 need identifying ...

A great day guys! Apart from my throttle cable of course, but that's biking. As always, it came just when it wasn't needed, as we were in a real good groove at the time. I'm just glad you were behind me Yod, so I wasn't left too stranded

Amazing timing too, just outside that farm, and the guy being so helpful. Chanceyy and I will drive over today with a trailer and pick her up. Thanks Chanceyy for everything, and thanks Barry for the trailer, there may be a few beers waiting for you when you get back

You're a legend Cowboyz, and yeah, I only broke down so I could sample the Green Machine - nice! It was great fun being on the back, and the 9 sounded really barky and the acceleration was awesome, even if you were taking it easy. Big thanks

So, even without my mecanical problems it was yet another great day with a great bunch of people.

Hope you made it to the lake Bonez, great to meet you Yod and Phil (nice moves there mate), cheers Garry. No chainsaws eh u4ea We'll all do it again real soon!

Better get off the PC now, breakfasts ready

Made it the Lake Ferry ok. Stopped in at Matinbourgh for a cuppa. Few riders there. Obviously too stuck up to give the time of day to a gent riding something over a few years old. (note- failed attempt at humour) But I'm over it. A German helmeted gent on a Harley at Masterton was obviously overwelmed by the brute power of his bike. One could go around corners faster on my Honda C50 stepthough (another of which is about to enter the bonez household). Needless to say the CX rattled on by and left him to it. One of those R.U.Bs I've been hearing about no dought. Keep practicing ol bean. You'll get there. Nice bike btw.

Sucked a few cocks (Fighting Cocks that is) last night and got up this morning then headed off while my fellow work mates lay in getting over there hangovers. Helped unrap a couple of traction engines ready for their trip back to Feilding before I left. Now that's a great way to see the country! Met up with a nice gent in Masterton on a TDM850 that was on his way to Wanganui. Hope you have a good run mate whoever you were.

200 kms before breakfast is a great way to start a day. Stopped in for a coffee at Cowboyz work. Seems some folk don't like the size of his golf courses holes, then on the see my mate Doug. The Pantahs ignition switch is playing up so he may transplant a Honda unit I gave him.

Great few days all round. Good to catch up with a few more KBers. See I don't bite. Well, not often anyway...........

bugger off. Bonez would put on far too much weight with all the pies he would be eating waiting for me. I am just thinking of his health.

great hospitality by that farmer & his wife ... we talked horses & did a spot of tidying feet while the boys chewed the fat .. was a great spot to break down .. esp since it was a few ks before the next house
