Now and forever
you're just another lost soul about to be mine again
see her, you'll never free her
you must surrender it all
And give life to me again

Hope they meet with your approval I'm a newbie
I am having lots of fun with it![]()
Has anyone tried a 4GB card in these yet?
Sorry Dodger, 2Gb max I'm afraid. That will get you just over 60 min, although if you try to record all that in one go, it will start a new chapter after 45 min therefore making 2x parts to your 1 hour video.
The SD cards over 2Gb are a new standard which is not compatible

Cheers, Stu
Thanks for that,
Mate of mine has one of these beasties and was asking about SD cards.
I finally signed up for a youtube account, check out the video I made with the camera strapped to my right leg ( to avoid the vibration issue ) facing forward while going for a gentle ride through a local forest ( on wet greasy grass....
Hope this link works.....![]()

Bloody Wallabys.....![]()
Wow.
Good footage ...ummm... leggage?
I ordered one from Noel Leeming, but was told that they had none available, and wouldn't be getting any more in. Ebay came to the rescue, and I got an Oregon Scientific ATC1000 (the smaller brother of the one Noel leeming were selling) for US$83. After including postage to get it here the all up cost was US$100.67 or NZ$145.
The main difference is that it shoots at 15fps instead of 30fps at the highest resolution, but faster if you chose a lower resolution. This isn't a big issue as the standard for 16mm movies used to be 16fps. I tried it on a short ride up Letts Gully Road, and it lasted 150 seconds for 32MB. I reckon I should get 40 minutes or so from a 512MB card I have. That's more than enough for most purposes.
Time to ride
Just to show the others that our adventure bikes are as nimble as the road guys on the asphalt :-) Keep an eye out for the sparks and noise at around the 39 / 40 second mark.....![]()

Must cut the stand and reweld it at a higher angle.....![]()
Cheers, Stu
The scary one for me was the first time wearing MX boots on the road and going around a nice tight corner and scraping the metal toe protecter.
Like the stand, it's a real brown pants moment if you're not expecting it![]()
I had the wee actioncan strapped to my leg to stop the vibration and also depending on if you had your toe, midfoot, or heel on the peg, you could sort of tilt the viewing angle up and down a wee bit.......
I went out one time and got a whole lot of road, and next time lots of sky, so it takes a bit of playing around.I'm toying with the idea of glueing a very small glass
( called that but made of plastic ) off a spirit level on the top. You can get small ones for the hot shoes of cameras for panoramas etc, so that may be a help

I'll post some more wee snippets soon![]()
